None, just the HomeLink, and the simplest of installation. I just wanted to avoid the visor clip. I had two, one for the garage doors, and another for the community gate. The new mirror with HomeLink replaced them both.
That appears to be a better solution than I employed. I bought a rearview mirror off of Amazon for $180 and five minutes to install, one set-screw involved. No wiring to fiddle with, but also no automatic dimmer. If I had known about the Kia mirror, I would have done that instead.
Thank you everyone for your quick responses. I am lucky I did not hit anything. I am use to using the front sensors on the Ford Escapes for the past 10 years. This was a surprising result.
I have had my Maverick about five months and just noticed that the front sensors fail to alert me when I approach a post while parking, or even the garage door. I have two Ford Escapes and the front sensors tell me when I am close, and whether the object is left, right, or center the bumper...
It will handle a 100 watt radio. I placed the IC-7100 under the back seat. Short power cord to the battery. Easy run of coax through the rubber plug into the rear passenger fender and out another rubber plug to the antenna mount mounted in the tailgate area. The radio has a single CAT 6 cable...
Very nice install. I am considering something similar. Currently I have a mount near the passenger side read tailgate that holds my dual band antenna. I have an IC-7100 in the truck, so an HF antenna is also in my future. My radio is below the dash. Terry - W6LMJ/N4OLT/A
This is great. I like to observe telescopic images of asteroids passing in front of stars, called an occultation, and it would be great if I could use this technic to display an external USB camera connected to a telescope. Or, may be watch the output of a DVCR as I record the occultation?
That is a very impressive list. Most of your items I would never have thought of. It is a great list. I too would like to see the links to where the items can be purchased. Pictures or a video would be very nice. I think you could narrate a video quicker than you could take still pictures...
No one is laughing. That is a horrible story. I bought my 2024 Mac after having no problems with a 2014, 2020, and 2023 Escape. Keeping my fingers crossed. OLT
I just took my first long trip. A round trip of about 1,900 miles from De Leon Springs, Florida, to NIH in Bethesda, Maryland. I have made the trip numerous times in all kinds of vehicles. The Mav managed the trip well. Average about 32 MPG, pushing the fast lane in the 80MPH range. There is...
