The battery saver priority's suck. Every time it gets below freezing I can't remote start it to warm up, what good is the remote for that. It does this even after driving it for 60 some miles the day before. There has to be a way to eliminate this process and let the owner take his chances instead of the vehicle making the decision. Apparently whoever designed this wasn't a vehicle owner. I replaced the battery 6 months ago so this is not part of the situation.

I know I have the EB but during the recent snow, ice, h*ll freezing over period earlier this month I had opened the app to start mine and it said unavailable, temp was around 5 to 10 degrees, but the FOB remote start worked. I deduced the modem was disabled because of the cold to conserve the battery. I might by full of you know what, usually I am, but that was my take on it.

I have the same problem. It’s beyond frustrating and the dealer wants to charge me to diagnose and fix the issue.

If you're under 3/36k then the determination and replacement is covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty and your dealer needs to be fired by Ford.

The dealer won't be able to do anything to "fix" it and Ford has promised a fix for almost a year and a half and has again made a promise for later this year. Don't hold your breath that they ever will.

Replaced with a flooded battery or AGM ?

yes there is a way to deal with this
you sell the mav and buy a ranger - well maybe a '23 ranger
What makes you believe that the Ranger with exactly the same BMS will not have exactly the same issue?

No way to eliminate it.

Don't be so sure a 6 month old warranty battery isn't in a bad enough state going thru most of winter.
Did you get an AGM being that recent?
Once it makes it past the cold - it may get better. Obviously when it's not needed as much for remote starts!

The BMS charging doesn't output as high when battery is cold - your 60 mile drive may have had a cold enough battery for the vast majority of it that it was barely float/trickle charge of 1A.
I've noted too that even after the cabin warmed up and hopefully battery on long trip - the charging rate didn't go back up to make up for lost time - like it was more than happy to drop below 1A earlier than normal - which isn't long anyway!

The 12VB programmers need to talk to the HVB programmers - who will hit the HVB with low charge and cause it to warm up, and keep increasing the charging A until it's high enough to take full charge and discharge as normal.
I know, lithium compared to FLA differences, but still.
I know there's no temp sensor in the battery space, just the air around it - but come on, figure something out.

It told me that it was 100% returned when I shut it off.
That gauge on the dash is not for your 12v battery. That is the HV battery in the hybrid system.

Huh?

XLT on shutoff would show trip stats since turn On of hours, distance, MPG, and electric miles (maybe not that order).

Wondering what you are seeing on shut off giving a 100% figure.

Do you mean on final braking to final stop?
Perhaps you mean your Brake Coach is still displayed?
