It's really great to hear an original Maverick success story. You are one of the lucky ones. But for those of us dealing with the chronic battery saver mode issue, locking the truck and pressing it twice and all of the other things just have nothing to do with the problem. The key fob, if you have the push to start, is a non factor.

That is NOT an AGM battery. I'd go back to the dealer. Specs for the flooded battery they put in are below.

I talked to them today and sent the pics. The service manager seemed to not know about this, but from what I gathered without him actually saying it out loud, is they didn't have an AGM in stock and put that 1 in. Guess they thought I wouldn't check. He said they plan to make it right. I got in just under the wire, my 3 year warranty expires next week.

My 22 hybrid went through 4 batteries in 14mo's. I always had dome lights so there was never any warning. I would just come out and find it dead. I do all the recommended suggestions, double lock, turn off everything manually before turning off the truck, key fob in pouch, drive at least 13 miles each and every time i start it even if i just it in a loop around town. I find this the most annoying as i never just jump in run to a store and back home, i always have to add the additional miles/time on to any trip and NEVER let it sit more than 1 day idle. The service department at first was unaware of any battery issues in other Mav's but i set them straight and after constantly making a fuss with each and every new battery. The service dept finally acknowledged that Ford Engineering says yes there is a problem. They installed an AGM about a month ago and so far so good but i am still driving more than necessary as i need it to start everyday. My son says i am crazy to be a slave to this nonsense but he is the one that in inconvenienced when i have an issue as i call him for rides or to borrow his truck so i can babysit his son daily. The AGM was replaced at no cost and i am well out of warranty at 57k

So with having to drive the extra miles to keep the battery charged you probably get half your actual mileage. Probably same mileage as a full size gas vehicle. Not to mention wasted time circle jerking around town. Wow, sorry to hear that.

Believe it or not, I have my original battery in my 22 Hybrid. Last summer I was having battery saver messages. I bought a NOCO genius 5 from Amazon. I put it on the battery posts under the hood and let it run for about 3 hours. Now about every 3 months I will put it on to kind of top it off. I do drive it every day for work and on the weekends. I have 50,000 miles on it and all recalls have been done on it. The one thing I always do when I park it is, I push the keypad TWICE to lock it. That seems to shut down all of the stuff in the background.

It is nice to unlock it and see the interior lights come on. Especially now that we are heading into the "dark going to work and dark when leaving work" times.
Since the 24MY seems to be different than the prior MY's, I'd be curious of what stays on that then turns off with double-press.
Perhaps someone with 25MY can compare which one they get.

So maybe a power port adapter with light to show that.
15 sec video probably get the whole thing.
Single lock fob - sweep of what's on for 5 seconds.
Double lock fob - sweep of what's turned off now.

24MY I have no difference. Power adapter stays on. Overhead lights go off quickly. Doesn't matter single or double press.

Maybe I should video my no-change.

Now that is text book description of an intermittent parasitic draw.
Not a slow death like many of us have (perhaps that was happening too anyway).
But boom - one morning dead.
Probably nothing you could have done differently - that's the annoying part of intermittent draws.

Did you get the ACCM update back at the time of getting an AGM, since they seemed to discover there are battery issues?
Could have been a different draw, but the known one has to happen first.

What was your longest stretch between those 4 batteries?
Were any during the winter, or more AC season for heat & humidity?

i had the software update done with the old not AGM battery. First 3 batteries were August Sept November and the 4th was whenever i wrote that i dont remember but it wasnt in Winter or Hot summer. I try never to use the AC but do have to use the heat. Tomorrow will be a test. I was snowed in over the weekend with 20 in of snow and very cold temps. I drove it early Sunday but couldnt get her dug out enough after hours of shoveling to get out today. Will try again tomorrow. It has been starting very well and i occasionally leave idle 1 day but never longer. It will be single digit cold tonight so fingers crossed that she starts and i can get her out of the drift up to the door handles on one side. Is it Spring YET!
