I've read some things regarding the weather seal not sticking to spray in bed liner. Have folks just been sticking to the cover instead and has that held up? that's the only thing that has me hesitating on buying this thing.
I've not had that problem on both trucks I installed.

I decided to give the MX4 a try since it's $100 off and you get a free Lund bed extender (seems like it's worth a little over $200, $369 at Ford!!!) from realtruck right now.

Bought one yesterday from Ford Accessories with 20% off and had enough points to get it for free, I like free. Might have been able to get the BAK branded version for less money from one of the online vendors but the Fordpass points made all the difference.

How did you have THAT many points?

anyone know what these rubber gasket types pieces are for? I don't see them listed in the parts nor do I see a step where they get used.

Also, is it okay to drain into the bottom corners of the bed? I assume it is but I figured I'd check before cutting the tubes to length.

Think those are for the part that potentially leans up against your cab when it's fully folded up to soften the impact.

I'm curious if draining out the front corners is okay also. I did the same.

The blocks of foam I used for that purpose are much larger and block shaped. These are much thinner.

I just pretty much followed this video, and what you posted looks like this step:
weird! check out the instruction manual.

you'll note those foam parts aren't in the parts list but the blocks (P) are there.

and here you'll see where the foam blocks (P) are referenced for installation:

Interesting :) Maybe you got a set of both for some reason. I guess use whatever you think feels more durable/protective?
I went with the blocks mostly because I was blindly following instructions 😂

The weather seal strip that came with mine didn't stick well. I replaced it with some from the local hardware store which did stick.

Unfortunately the MX4 leaked horribly when I first installed it, around the front, sides, and in some places through the cover itself. I've used an entire tube of black silicon sealant and have managed to get most, but not all, of the leaks sealed.

Most of the leaking that I have left seems to be coming from two places. The first is through the middle of the hinge point where the rear section of the cover flips up. The other hinge does not leak.

The second leak is around the left rear edge, most likely through the gap between the tailgate and the bed side and not from the cover itself. I added tailgate seals but it is difficult to get this area to seal well, not any fault of the cover. Interestingly the right side tailgate gap doesn't leak.
