Thanks Glen — Yeah I think you’ve pointed out before that they’re actually only a 2-fold cover ha.
Yeah and it seems super secure, it would take some serious effort to bust in. Those little safety ring clips probably help too.
I have the same, installed a few weeks ago. Was sceptical it would fit well. Looks great and best was the price on TEMU, paid $107 including tax.

After almost 3 months of hemming and hawing on “which one to choose” I went with the OEDRO getting it for $301 on eBay (with a coupon and free fast shipping).
I’d seen several good reviews and at least it has a name behind it. The true 3 fold-up ones are nice but this is really simple to remove for camping and excursions.
Really gives an OEM tough look. Being in SoCal I didn’t bother (for now) to install the extra foam on the bulkhead.

Cool yeah I’m an old GTI guy so the stripes can help balance the car (truck lol) plus it kind of accents the slightly raked stance.
I put them on my old Jetta TDI wagon with wet-soapy method years ago which allows you to slide them around to position, and so just did that again.
Only challenge was they’re pretty long so I could’ve used another set of hands but I was ok.
I thought these looked great with the motion effects at the end. But yeah you want to follow the crease above the graphics to give it the proper look. 🙂
I got these from the guy on Etsy he also has a couple brief install videos.

As another "old GTI guy" i'm curious as to your thoughts living with the Mav. I'm likely getting rid of my MK8 for a '25 XLT AWD Hybrid and am somewhat dreading the loss of tech, build and sporty driving. Practicality for around the city flexibility and outdoor stuff is my main motivation for the switch.

Hey yeah love all the GTIs and the Mk8!
I’m actually coming from a 2010 E550 Sport 400hp V8 lol. So I find I drive slower for sure but it’s a different style of driving. I drive German efficiently/quickly and it works fine for that. I’ve only got 2k miles but I’ve had it up to 90mph on open freeway and it’s great. Have the B&O and ACC driving assist available. If I’m in a hurry I keep it in human mode and give ‘er the whip. The Sport mode simulates shifts and snappy throttle response, it’s quick enough. The suspension is kinda firm and sporty but compliant — but it doesn’t respond like a GTI at speed obviously.
It’s great in the city but it does have a longer wheelbase so U-turns can become a Y-turn (my E550 had a really tight radius). I normally back into parking spots for the same reason. HTH! 🏁

Your cover and truck look great. What are the rail clamps like to secure the cover to the bed? I have the Ford cargo management rails and wonder if there might be a clearance problem if I were to get that cover.
Here are a few pics I know it can be hard to picture how it fits — especially as a lot of vendors show “generic AI trucks” lol.

Thanks for those pics. I ordered up one of those covers and it helps to see the connectors up close.

@DaveCactusGrayXLTH , how do those clamps feel? They look like nylon reinforced ABS. Just wondering how tough they are.

They are definitely cheap ABS but they should work with the universal tonneau clamps you find on Amazon and elsewhere - so if they ever break it won't be hard to replace
