Looking to get some mileage numbers on the AWD package with 4K tow package VS the AWD without it. Please no numbers needed from hybrids as this is not what I am ordering.

I have an AWD with 4 K tow package on order. I concidered it mostly for the bigger radiator, and auxiliary trans cooler. The differentials are a different gear ratio than the regular AWD.

If the highway MPGs are pretty drastically different I may drop the 4K tow package before this thing gets issued a vin#

What numbers are you guys n gals getting with either ?

Thanks
Matt

I ordered the same. I have searched and read the city mileage is negligible, but expect a potential 2 mpg drop on hwy. Take that for what it's worth. I suspect there arent a whole lot of these builds out yet.

I have a XLT, ecoboost, AWD, 4K tow, FX4 that has larger 245/70r17 tires plus a 1” lift that has 4,000 miles on it. My drive is about a 70/30 city/highway bias, and lifetime I’ve got 26.5 mpg. All but one of my fill ups have been with 87 octane.

I was averaging 28-29 MPG Highway with 4K AWD, until I upgraded to AT tires. Now I am getting about 26-27 on the Highway. I live at sea level.

What does the window sticker say? Any difference? Logic would say 4K a bit less with different rear end.

I have an EB AWD with 4k tow package. Have filled up 3 times with averages of 26, 29 and 30mpg on 87 octane.

does anyone know what the cruising RPMs are at 60mph between the AWD 4K vs. AWD non-4k? that could be another way to estimate the difference.

Solid response!

Ordered a similar setup (2.0/4k/FX4).

How are you liking the lift/wheel combo? Is it a rougher ride, roads here are terrible?

What kit and what brand tire did you go with?

Keep in mind if you go to a bigger tire like a 245 it will basically offset the final drive ratio to the ground where the difference is negligible. Of course a heavier AT tire will affect mpg a bit.

I love the setup. Noise and ride comfort I would say overall are only very minimally compromised. Roads here are awful as well, I live in and around New Orleans which is below sea level and all of the roads are falling into the earth lol.

Suspension is the spacer setup from 4WheelParts.com (still only listed for the Bronco Sport). Tires are Toyo Open Country AT III.

I just had a tank of mostly highway driving, maybe 90/10 - 95/5 (hwy/city) and averaged 29.9 MPG per old fashioned tank fillup vs. the computer which read 31.2. Just over 3k miles at the time.

Live in rural Louisiana now, but have lived in NOLA. Would you do 30 mph in West End/Lakeview with the new suspension set up? I lost a muffler on a Honda Civic in 1999 in that area.......I hear it is worse now.

Impressive if you are getting a good ride in your area......helpful feedback

Depending on what my driving habits are I have seen 21mpg and 30mpg.
My avg is 22mpg right now.
I did get 30+mpg on a tank driving Portland to Tillamook and back 2 times plus some city driving.
That's a 150 mile trip each way.
I have the 4k tow package.
