BRAKE not BREAK

It is really annoying to see brake misspelled a lot on these forums and is especially annoying in the title line.

Just a question; does your maverick eco boost XLT makes a tingling noise when you start the engine?I am trying to figure out if this is normal.
Could you describe the tingling in greater detail? Is it a constant clicking that gets mellower and quieter after 1-3 minutes?

Here’s another question for you all. Does the auto stop/start being on or off effect the gas mileage?

You would think so . Maybe just little bit but not too much I would imagine.

The tree huggers can kiss my tailgate! I will disable that in the first week of ownership.
Careful about disabling it as I have seen videos from Ford techs showing how a disruption in those signals gets in the way of so many modules on your truck. I suggest that you live with it. In the Hybrid I don't even notice it because the Hybrid is so quiet to begin with.

I don't like when I use the app to start the car and then when you get in and put the key in the ignition and turn it on the starter engages while the engine is running. I don't think that is good for the starter or the flywheel.
Seriously? I thought all modern cars, even those without keyless ignitions, had over-crank protection. I'm 99% sure my 2011 Mustang would not try to engage the starter if the engine were already running. Does it at least have automatic start/tip start (turn the key briefly to the start position and immediately release and it will crank until the engine turns over)?

In regard to the automatic engine stop function, I had a 2020 Edge with the same powertrain as the EB Maverick a couple weeks ago, and it was very seamless and didn't bother me. There are quite a few situations where it won't stop the engine--engine not warmed up, high A/C load, brake manipulation, and then there is a timeout if you are stopped for a long period of time, and it will restart the engine. There was a button to disable it as well as a setting in the vehicle menu. I believe that, if the function doesn't default to on when the ignition is cycled, the EPA will not test the vehicle with it turned on, so the manufacturers have an incentive to make it default to on.

I have an Ecoboost Escape that will only do that if you turn the key too far. If you insert the key and turn it two clicks to the on position it works fine. Are you sure you aren’t going past that to the start position?

Auto Start/Stop is a climate/environment feature (reduces emissions), so it functions differently than break hold. Ford intentionally programmed these features differently.
So does Break Hold mean to Release the Hold that was set on the Brake?🤔
