Could you describe the tingling in greater detail? Is it a constant clicking that gets mellower and quieter after 1-3 minutes?Just a question; does your maverick eco boost XLT makes a tingling noise when you start the engine?I am trying to figure out if this is normal.
You would think so . Maybe just little bit but not too much I would imagine. Here’s another question for you all. Does the auto stop/start being on or off effect the gas mileage?
Careful about disabling it as I have seen videos from Ford techs showing how a disruption in those signals gets in the way of so many modules on your truck. I suggest that you live with it. In the Hybrid I don't even notice it because the Hybrid is so quiet to begin with. The tree huggers can kiss my tailgate! I will disable that in the first week of ownership.
Seriously? I thought all modern cars, even those without keyless ignitions, had over-crank protection. I'm 99% sure my 2011 Mustang would not try to engage the starter if the engine were already running. Does it at least have automatic start/tip start (turn the key briefly to the start position and immediately release and it will crank until the engine turns over)?I don't like when I use the app to start the car and then when you get in and put the key in the ignition and turn it on the starter engages while the engine is running. I don't think that is good for the starter or the flywheel.
I have an Ecoboost Escape that will only do that if you turn the key too far. If you insert the key and turn it two clicks to the on position it works fine. Are you sure you aren’t going past that to the start position?I don't like when I use the app to start the car and then when you get in and put the key in the ignition and turn it on the starter engages while the engine is running. I don't think that is good for the starter or the flywheel.
Yes it gets quieter when engine warms up. ThanksCould you describe the tingling in greater detail? Is it a constant clicking that gets mellower and quieter after 1-3 minutes?
Da* auto correct Algo.....BRAKE not BREAK

So does Break Hold mean to Release the Hold that was set on the Brake?Auto Start/Stop is a climate/environment feature (reduces emissions), so it functions differently than break hold. Ford intentionally programmed these features differently.
