The latest sync firmware for Sync 3 is version 23188 (IIRC) which means it was released the 188th day of 2023.

Puddle lamps are the lights under your left and right rear view mirrors that light up the floor when you unlock it.

Edit: If you ask them to reflash the apim firmware, they're going to look at you confused and possibly cross eyed. The tech would need to run a PMI on the APIM so FDRS pulls the usb files. However, it may or may not actually reflash the files. Once the GWM realizes the files in the usb are the same ones installed, it may not even go forward with the reflash. Not sure, tbh. Never done that before, but in theory, it should work.

I would just check the existing fuses first. Maybe one of them just isn't seated properly. If you do find one that is blown, then you know what to do first. If none of them are blown and they are all seated properly, then you may have a hardware issue.

Edit: I didn't check to see if your truck has a DSP or not. If you have the base sound system, there will not be a DSP and there is no need to check the fuse in the BJB.
I have the B&O system it’s a fully loaded lariat tremor so I’ll check that fuse too

Shop just called. They have to replace fault APIM. According to them, this part was ~$1,100. Fortunately I did extend the warranty before it went up, but has almost paid for the extension the first time having to use it.

Don't think APIM will fix it, clearly all the other modules point to a communication problem with the ACM.
Its possible there's a problem on HS3 but I doubt it as most of the complaining modules are downstream of the ACM & they don't complain about modules upstream of the ACM

UPDATE: no sound problem is back!
Anyone have any idea why it would work the other day and now it’s back off again? Has to be a software issue right?
Put maintainer on 12v battery for 3+ days. Voltage detected could be lower than acceptable range post sensor.

Spot on, APIM did not fix it, but I got a brand new APIM. They have traced it to the ACM, or at least this is what they are replacing next.. @crbalch They are going to let me know how much this part costs and will relay back just so you have a rough idea if it might be the same issue with yours.

Truck is still in the shop — Week 3, Day 2. They provided a loaner at the start, so I’ve been covered there.

They’ve replaced the APIM and another module behind the volume controls (the ACM), but the issue persists. The dealership is now working directly with Ford engineering to determine next steps and appears to be at a standstill.

All components Ford initially identified have been replaced, and all updates have been completed. At this point, it’s clear the root cause hasn’t been identified yet.

Thanks for the update…audio error still persists on my side as well. Haven’t done anything outside of checking the fuses though. Unfortunately out of warranty so I am really not sure what to do at this point. Hopefully you get a resolution soon and it may be the same I am experiencing!

In your case, I see nothing helpful with the codes it is reporting to the cloud.

However, in the case of @crbalch it is very obvious that something is wrong. You have several modules with active faults citing lost comms between the APIM, IPC, DSP and the wireless charging module.

Going through the code history, I do see the codes going from stored back to active. See below from 4/3. When the codes end in 08, they are stored codes. So at 12pm that day, the codes were active and the next time you drove it at 1:27pm, they changed to stored and no longer active. However, as of this morning, the codes end in 0A/0B which means they are active.

While this is a clear red flag that something is wrong, I cannot tell from looking at this where the issue is. It could be a bad fuse, or a loosely seated fuse/relay that is causing the intermitent issue. It could be a bad APIM. Unfortunately, these things can be impossible to diagnose remotely.
Would you be able to run this again to see if the codes have done anything differently since you did it last? There have been some instances where the Audio Sources have become available to select, and the Audio Off error starts to spin, but no actual audio works still. Curious if anything has happened that may help pinpoint the issue. Turns out the fuses are all fine.

Would you be able to run this again to see if the codes have done anything differently since you did it last? There have been some instances where the Audio Sources have become available to select, and the Audio Off error starts to spin, but no actual audio works still. Curious if anything has happened that may help pinpoint the issue. Turns out the fuses are all fine.
Still showing active faults for several modules loosing comms with the radio.

Just got another update:
"Technicians said the engineers have pinpointed it to an update issue, but also issue with ACM that was installed. ACM is refusing to take update. Engineers asking to replace ACM that they've already installed and see if the new ACM will help solve those issues and take the update."

We shall see..

Hope they do a new one - get the old one to Ford for break apart.
Maybe it was dropped!
Bet it has the sticker on it like a bunch of other modules/units.
