2023 Lariat Hybrid no cruise control

Assuming your Lariat is like my XLT, on the left side of the steering wheel is a CC 'Set" button with a "+" above it and "-" below it to increase or decrease speed once set, however to the right of the "Set' is the master cruise control Icon button. Make sure that is enabled, then try "Set", but you need to be traveling above a certain speed, so try a higher speed like 50+ .

Cruise control needs to first be enabled or armed, then set to the desired speed....

On the 2023 Owners manual, page 220, very bottom of left column..

My son just picked up his Lariat hybrid and not long after our 4 hour ride home he hit the cruise button and nothing happens. Anyone had this issue?

The on/off button is the upper right hand button in the left hand side of the steering wheel.

If CC is on, the indicator looks like this on a Lariat hybrid (see attached picture). If the speed is set, there is a MPH indicator as well. It will turn green when the CC is active.

Use the RES button in the left hand side of the steering wheel to SET the speed (toggle it UP or Down). You must be moving at least 20 MPH to set the CC speed.

Once set, a quick toggle of the RES button, either UP or Down, will change the set speed in 1 MPH increments. Holding the toggle longer than that, sets the speed in larger increments and can be surprising.

The cruise control took me a couple of tries to figure out. There are a lot of things on truck that are a little cryptic.
I had to go to my dealership for remedial Maverick because I couldn’t figure out how some things work.

Yes, the F-150 has a different cruise functionality for some reason. But the Maverick is exactly like the Escape I traded in. So, I was able to figure it out without much thought.

Yes, lower left with a slash thru it till you set speed. If your use to the old Ford cruise it is quit different. Toggle instead of pressing the up and down buttons.

Try reading the Owner's Manual....a wealth of info to be found. A horror, I know.

The Hermosillo plant has a test track where they test random Mavs and Sports but not big enough to test cruise. Maybe some miles were put on there.

Four hour drive home from picking it up new? Did you read the break in procedure in the manual prior to picking it up?

It did have 40 miles on it when we got in it

Hooked foscan up and got into sccm data and all switches on the left function except the cruise on button. Will update from here. Thanks

Good thing you have difficulty with the cruise. It's not a good thing to use during the break in period.
