Pretty much a pure city driver. Thus already torn on CC. It's handy for the 1 road trip I might do a year but I'm not a 40m each way kind of driver. PWR Mirrors? Big woop they're pretty much set and forget. More tie downs? meh. Wheels? Can be upgraded. The build sheets I pulled up are still at a 3k gap.
Understandable. The CC was a primary reason I went with the XLT, but now that I look at it I think the door number pad, power tailgate lock, and back cupholders will be the things that I actually get the most value out of.

I removed a tonneau cover-not only available aftermarket, but likely cheaper.
I will not change the Lariat trim w/ luxury package
Same here. Lariat with Lux and Moonroof. I dropped the trifold tonneau because it was restricting at the time at 0% and the Bakflip MX4 is already on the market.

I don't set my side mirror glass very often..
But when I do, I use my hands.

I think everyone’s situation is different. Some need a new vehicle sooner rather than later due to their circumstances. Does this mean they are settling. I think if you wanted a hybrid and changed to an ecoboost you likely are settling. But if you wanted the floor mats, splash guards and spray in bed liner then NO those can all be purchased or done after you take delivery of the vehicle.

I’m in on XLT lux hybrid with a couple other small add ons. At first the hybrid was what appealed to me, the insane efficiency seems great for my commutes.

I am a lifelong modded car guy however, and I’m torn and worried I’m settling by not getting the ecoboost awd. I like the power and the turbo noises and wouldnt mind some lighter mods and stickier tires to make it more fun. I can afford the upgrade, but I also just don’t want to spend it because the logical part of my brain knows it snows here like twice a year so the awd is an added expense that won’t see much use, and I don’t want to give up on having that hybrid mpg either.

My sales manager told me yesterday if I’m gonna make the change I need to be deciding because the orders around mine at their dealership are starting to get VINs. One more thing for me to drive myself nuts over I suppose.

As of now, I’m holding the line with my original order plan.

The only thing I removed was the tonneau cover, and that's something that I can order at any point in the future. Every other feature is exactly what I wanted when I decided to order the Mav in July.

Yes I’m settling. Needed a new car before winter and it’s clear my XLT lux hybrid won’t be ready until 2022.

Now I have an Eco awd 4k tow reserved from a dealer stock order that should be on the lot in a week or 2. The added utility will be nice to have but would have taken the better fuel efficiency and $5k in savings if it could have been delivered by November.

Not sure how the logistics of this will work but thought I could just keep my hybrid on order and can just trade in or sell the eco boost when it comes in.

This is likely the only vehicle I'll ever order to my specs, so I am not dropping a thing.

However, that fact will not stop me from going manic every Thursday until my build email comes.

I'm in the process of ordering an XL hybrid with splash guards and spray in liner. I know both of these are available aftermarket, but I don't need the truck now. I might be the only one actually hoping for a 4-6 month delay? I'd be okay with 8-10.

Yes, if not scheduled by the end of October. This is just insane, Bronco reserved over a year ago, now won’t get it until 2023! Now Maverick ordered in mid June, not scheduled. I needed a vehicle several months ago!!!!!!

I ordered what I wanted, an inexpensive truck with a hitch. Most of the changes I might make are cost-increasing changes, which defeats the purpose of this truck in my life.

The paint, I'd change in a heartbeat if there was another "free" one that sped up the process.

I see a lot of posts with people changing their orders to remove items that are causing a delay, but I feel like I built out exactly what I wanted and am willing to wait to get that perfect baby when it finally arrives, what is your take?
I would never settle for something I didn't want.

I have made changes to my order three times. The changes I made were to remove items that could be had in the aftermarket or from Ford parts AFTER my Maverick was delivered. These items were shown to be reasons for not being selected with a build date.

One of my changes was also to add the "Manual Rear Sliding Window" and the "110V/400W Outlet in the Cab".

I only wanted the Hybrid XLT and the is what is being Build by Ford on 11/8.

No way would I have been happy getting an EcoBoost Maverick with much worse city gas mileage while paying an additional $1085 up front and probably a lot more over the 12+ years I will own it.

Nope. My needs were basic (XLT Hybrid 400w hitch), so there's nowhere really to compromise/change.
You should be picked for production soon as that is a very basic build.

My Maverick Build is:

Velocity Blue XLT - Hybrid with Co-Pilot360 + Rear Sliding Window + 110V/400W Outlet in Cab.

And I got Scheduled for Build 11/8 two weeks ago.
