I am pleased and the only thing I don’t like is the Apple car play cable connection. The cable is in the way. Otherwise all is good
I too wish the car play was wireless. In the meantime I got these and they work really well: USB 3.0 Adapter 90 Degree Male to Female Combo Vertical Up and Down Angle Coupler Connector by Oxsubor https://a.co/d/iICvLt1
There are products you can purchase to add wireless Apple Carplay or wireless Android Auto.

I really cannot understand why pretty all auto manufacturers are so slow to provide wireless Carplay and Android Auto. I know it sounds like a first world problem but it's really annoying to have to plug my phone in every time I get in the car just use Android Auto. Plus I can't always mount the phone in the most convenient place because the USB cord might be in the way.

I use the adapter to undermount the wireless reciever... But it still makes the receiver's cord more aesthetically pleasing.

I have had my XLT hybrid since the beginning of August and love it! I paid 25k out the door for it. If I paid more I could start nitpicking things but at that price it's an amazing value!

The biggest disappointment I have is the interior plastic is absolute trash.

But I can't be mad at that because I knew that's exactly what it was going to be.
Same here. Especially for those who went up to the lariat and/or luxury package. Before anyone gets on me about it being a truck let me explain. Some of us just want a truck and its bed for the few times our suburban lifestyle calls for it. We didn't buy it to be a work truck. For the rest of the time, I would've liked better interior materials to enjoy and maintain. I would've happily paid a little extra for less cheap plastics.

No Disappointments. I've been lucky. I wanted an XLT Hybrid and ended up with an XL Hybrid. I miss full size electric adjustable mirrors - not a biggie as once they are adjusted correctly, it really doesn't matter. And slightly miss cruise control which appears to be easily corrected.

I LOVE my all black interior (OK, a little bit of blue - but not much - no orange). Basically, the XL has the BAP for free. I'm even learning to like the steelies. When I was much younger, we painted black wheels silver . . . now it looks like silver wheels are painted black? For $19,995 - I'm super happy!
So glad you're enjoying your Maverick, David!

To lease for 2-3 years, it might last that long. But to buy and keep, that's a big no-no.

The Maverick feels like a "disposable" car that you drop off at the junkyard after it hits 50k miles. I had rock chips on my paint after only 200 miles, the bed trim started warping, people's dashboards are already cracking, the interior rattles drove me nuts, the 12v battery drain issue was a nightmare to solve (and you can bet other areas of the wiring harness will fail if one did that soon), the braking feel was poor, when you look under the car, all the wires are held up using super cheap plastic connectors, even under the hood, imagine all of the plastic that will dry rot and start cracking after a couple years.

The only benefit to owning a Maverick is (if you have warranty), you will likely be driving a more expensive loaner vehicle instead of the Maverick because it will be sitting at the dealer so often.

The infotainment screen/system was nothing more than a 2004 Prius screen with a $20 android tablet touch quality and $15 worth of speakers for the sound system .

So glad you're enjoying your Maverick, David!
I purchased what I did without investigating the phone. Sorry me my 2017 Pacifica uses Bluetooth for my IPhone so bad me I assumed a 2022 Maverick would do the same. It is like it is a 4 gig system when 5 gig started 2 years ago. This truck is pretty smart but in some areas behind the times. I still think it is a bargain at the price. I like the plastic interior on the Lariat because it is peanut butter proof as Is the vinyl seats (fake leather). A good bargain for the price. The Two i items I pick on should not have been missed when the tech is there. I purchased technology for a major defense manufacturer for years and before completing a contract a question to our engineers and the suppliers was is there anything on the drawing board to improve the product and is the product upward compatible. Obsolesce is expensive and makes a customer unhappy. New products should be state of the art

The only little thing that bugs me is that the rear-view mirror seems a little wide and not tall enough (and I wish it were auto-dimming, but I understand cost restraints). And the center console screen seems to be titled down just a bit -- I'm a tall guy so I wish it were a little more upright. That's about it!

A dropped down from a Texas Edition Silverado ( upper mid level ) with the best sound system I have ever heard.
To cheapest Ford XL with barely base level radio that sounds more mono from two speakers than a stereo.
Was plaining to take my peach level Chevy truck to my death. But stopped using it during Pandemic so sold it for more then I paid new.
