It's just not a Utah thing. Add AWD/4WD capability to a vehicle and people will tend to drive faster forgetting that shopping is still going to be an issue.
It pisses me off, because these morons are putting others at risk by driving so recklessly. What these people don't understand, is while AWD can help with accelerating from a stop, those vehicles tend to be bigger, and heavier. This increased mass makes them worse then it comes to having to stop, or turn.

Just wondering if any of you hybrid owners wish you had opted for AWD with the Ecoboost ? Imagine this may be influenced on weather severity in your area. Heard mixed reviews from the owners in my area in Michigan.
Thanks

Nope. No desire to trade the hybrid fwd.
We don't get much snow anymore so no need for awd. I don't go mudding so no reason for awd.
Prefer the higher gas mileage.
My car has awd. Don't think I've ever really needed it. Also doesn't do me much good since the car sits so low I can't make it thru much snow regardless of the awd.

My 2024 XLT was bought from a dealer with four (4) locations. They had mostly Hybrids. Reason: That is what is wanted by the end consumer. My reasons: I like the quietude, the responsiveness, the RESALE value and the mileage per gallon. I have less than 400 miles on it, and will only put about 3500 seasonal mileage oi it. The salesman said it probably wouldn't pay off in five years, but I just like it better.

My situation hasn't really changed so hybrid is still good for me. our other two rides are AWD so driving when the weather is bad is not really an issue. the extra power of ecoboost would be fun but I have fun seeing the kickass MPGs too.

Had an EB Lariat for a month and it was great in it's own right. 32.5 mpg combined. Didn't care for the tranny too much though with the "missing gear". As a commuter of 130 miles/day, I looked online and found a canceled 24 Lariat hybrid 4 hrs away in Michigan and went to get it. Love is so far. This part of Indiana gets decent snow and I enjoy AWD, but I heard good things about the hybrid even with just FWD. We'll see this winter, but love everything about my hybrid so far!

Originally I was as I am very hesitant to take my truck down the two tracks. I got over that and now hike to where I am going to fish. I was also concerned about how the truck would handle winter. It doesn’t seem to snow anymore in Michigan so I didn’t need it. When I buy gas once a month I really don’t need it.

No regrets here! I’m in Canada btw, severe winter is common…I did buy studded tires for winter driving.
