Also Google search with word(s) and "Maverick Truck Club" to get those words mentioned in this site.🤫
Hadn't thought of that...thanks!

If you touch the top it will lock the door. If you touch the inside it will unlock. If you wrap your hand around touching both sides it might do either. I experimented with this. Also my GF has a habit of putting her hand on top of the passenger side door handle WAITING for me to unlock which then prevents me from doing so. 😂
I discovered touching the lines on the top or the underside will lock the doors. Sometimes I use a little "crab pinch" with my thumb and index finger. Makes locking more reliable, and I only open the door with my fingers. Thumb stays off.

well heck, I made the connection of switching to a stubby antenna drasticly reducing fob range but oddly putting the long one back on did not bring back the fob range and changing the battery in the fob and even changing fobs didn't bring back the range. not sure what to do, hard reboot maybe.

I have been using a Stubby since my first maverick in early 22 I had it before the truck and installed it the day I picked it up, I was afraid to go through a car wash with the stock one, I have moved it to my 2 other Mavs, it works OK, I listen to local channels and news mostly, if you get next to a tall building it loses reception for a second but other than that works fine, 5 years now same one 3 trucks.

I admit it's not perfect but honestly I have never had an issue finding something with the search function. I think the biggest issue is that most people don't actually know how to use the search function properly. When doing a search many people use way too many words. Also if you click the box for "Search Titles Only" it severely narrows down results. 99.9% of the time I find exactly what I'm looking for by doing that. And on the rare occasion I can't find results that way I go to Google.
Oh I know how to use the search button BUT !

Sitting and simply reading the owners manual like a book is time well spent.
I found all kinds of cool things that I didn’t even know I needed to know about.

Again, reading a book of any kind about anything is becoming a lost life skill.

Using search, takes me right to the answer to a specific question question, Great I get that

But reading it shows me so much more in the same length of time. I’d learn two or more things on the way to my specific problems answer.

I remember about 20 years ago the Tampa Tribune started shorting articles to no more than a sixty second read.
Reason, data showed these younger people could not stay focused or interested long enough to read a full page or half page article.

That fit the crack addicted to sugar brains of the up and coming some 20 years ago.

Now I’m seeing more and more people who can’t keep from locking themselves out of their own car.
I believe having a printed owners manual would help negate these kind of oops.

I have had car washes remove antennas during the wash. Can diy easy and screw in old sawed off antenna if want to keep threads dry/clean.

OK, Leon Hogan and MakinDoForNow both brought up the car wash "thing" - I asked the guy a Caliber the other day and he gave me a "probably be OK"; not good enough for me. Anybody go through the automatic car was with that full size spire on their truck?

Many times, mostly at the Ford dealer. Never had a problem.

Jon @Retro1
What do you mean by "full size spire'?
Do you mean the antenna that the truck came with?

I've been through probably a dozen automated drive-through car washes just like the one below and the factory OEM antenna is still attached.🤷🏻‍♂️

I found the reception to be rather poor, so I went with a slightly bigger whip antenna 😬

and doubles as a branch deflector, unless they are short.

I have not had a problem other that one wash here is hard on the mirrors but I have seen a couple pictures of antennas that have been ripped off. I have my stubby back in and doing fine as I have found my issue is with the back up camera, and more specificly the rear camera producing RF interferance.
