Shark fin antenna

Is the shark fin antenna just for the AM/FM radio or does it also support GPS/Satellite/cellular? I'm trying to understand what it would take to "upgrade" to a more substantial antenna for better AM/FM performance.

Don't know the answer but saw 2 new Mavericks at a dealer yesterday and they both had totally different antenna's (much beefier) than the coat-hanger version previously installed.

MKe sure you have the whip part of the antenna screwed in too. That’s the part that deals w radio reception afaik.
