It’s been fun, fellow Maverick owners. I really enjoyed this truck, got a lot of use hauling the family around in it but unfortunately got stuck crossing an intersection by a negligent driver. Awaiting the final verdict on the repair but my gut says it’s totaled. Might get another in the future because that Lobo looks amazing but I doubt I’ll be able to get a replacement soon. Literally just passed 42069 miles too, the sickest milestone.

Is that air bags deployed in the windshield area? If so i would imagine it will get totaled. Sounds like no one was injured so thats the main thing to consider. Vehicles can be replaced, lives cant. Hope all goes well

Sure looks like it deployed and if so yes it's most likely going to be declared a total loss. Hopefully the other driver was insured(?), or else hopefully the OP has uninsured coverage (?). If so, the OP should get a respectable settlement of this, notwithstanding the massive inconvenience of having to work on getting a replacement vehicle on short notice.

Unless the "frame" bent, I doubt that's a writeoff. It looks like all the damage is below the box floor. Everything in the picture just bolts on and can be replaced.
The pictures aren’t great but there’s definitely some frame damage, and the whole back end looks tweaked. Definitely not unrepairable but I doubt the insurance company would want to spend the money getting it repaired. I’ve seen these trucks get totaled with less damage. Plus 3 airbags deployed on both sides of the vehicle, that’s going to run the cost up considerably.

Yeah all three side air bags were deployed on both sides of the truck. As far as injuries, we didn’t come out completely unscathed. It could have definitely been worse, those airbags did their job for sure. Getting into a car accident is a great reminder of my age because I’m not bouncing back as quickly as I did in my 20’s

Yes I had all 6 side air bags deploy in the collision. The one in the pillar between the doors popped while deploying as well causing some nasty burns and cuts on my arm.
Other driver was insured and found 100% liable for the accident. I’m sure I’ll come out of this fine but you are correct the inconvenience of finding a new vehicle sucks.

The Mav seems to keep its occupants safe, for sure. Get ready to do battle with the other guy's insurance, especially if it's Allstate. They will try to lowball the hell out of you.

That’s an obvious total.
