Yes, I had dedicated snow tires mounted on black steel rims. Not sure what the actual tires were. They might have been Nitto. On the bright side, I still have my stock rims from the ‘23 that I can mount new winter tires on for my ‘26.

While making my insurance claim I was going to try to recoup the cost of the winter tires. My claims advisor told me they might get picky and require my original tires and rims if I made that claim including the additional tires and rims.
They get nitpicky in the US, too. I had to drop off the Ford winter floor mats for a totalled car or the settlement would've been lowered by ~$75. They were at home since I'd been using Husky Liners.

I loved my 23 Ecoboost. Best vehicle I have ever owned. I felt like sharing some pictures of the unfortunate end of my truck.

I hit a severe whiteout, couldn’t see much of anything until I was in a 30 car pile up. I took a few big hits, proud to say the airbags did their job well. I walked away with only a sprained finger and some bruising from the seatbelt and airbag.

The most unfortunate part of the crash the fire that followed. As I collected my thoughts and crawled out the passenger side door I noticed fire under the hood of my ecoboost. Myself and a few truck drivers tried to extinguish the flames with fire extinguishers and failed. It appeared to be an electrical short fire that we couldn’t extinguish.

it was sad, but I have dealt with insurance and my replacement maverick should be here within a few days. Too bad Cactus Grey is no longer an option.

don’t know why ford stopped Cactus Gray. That was color of my first Maverick in 22. It didn’t show dirt much at all. Wife talked me into trading it for a HPR hybrid in 24 that color is a lot harder to keep looking clean.

So glad to hear you're ok! It's bad losing your truck but you're safe, that is the most important thing. It's amazing how well the passenger section held up, what a body structure these little trucks have. Curious how a modem F-150 would have fared in similar circumstances, with the body-on-frame vs. the Mav unibody.

Yes but it is a great looking color. I want a 4K AWD hybrid but they stopped the HPR color in 25 or I would of upgraded.

Wife still has her HPR hybrid, I traded my 23 carbonized gray hybrid for a 25 eruption green AWD 4K hybrid. That color is also hard to keep clean.
