Sorry to say but with the airbags, module and probably at least 3 seatbelts blown ,headliner, parts and labor for interior your at 7-8 k plus exterior ,rear suspension axle and possibly rear subframe replacement your over 18-20k with paint , she’s a salvage at that mileage . I’d be interested to know what the insurance would offer it to you as a buyback !
let me know , I’m in SoCal and may be interested for off road experiments!

Yeah I suspect she's a goner, especially since the airbags deploys. I'm sure you'd rather they did total it. No reason to say good-bye...get another.

And yes, that's totalled.

Pull all your removeable mods now in preparation for your NEW one. At this point I think I have paid more in mods than the truck cost initially (at least that's what my wife would tell you.) Glad you're OK.

I went through this, brother, and it's not fun! Glad you're OK, trucks can be replaced.

Just heard from the repair shop and they deemed it totaled. Now I’m just waiting for my insurance to call and verify what’s going to happen next.
As much as I would like to get a new Maverick I don’t think I could wait for a new one to come in and the used market for these is honestly absurd. 32k for 20k miles on a lowered trim FWD? I paid less than that new

Sorry for the loss of your truck. At least Velocity Blue is back in 2025 if you order another.

I feel your pain-must be a blue truck thing..............Mine took 81 days to repair ($12k damage). I would say the insurance co. should have the burden to find a replacement if totaled. Good luck...keep us posted......prayers for you :)

I’m confused by your statement: “I would say the insurance co. should have the burden to find a replacement if totaled.” You’re kidding right? How and Why should that be the insurance company’s responsibility? The insurance co. did not have anything to do with the extent of the damage that was caused by the accident, resulting in the vehicle being deemed a total loss. 🤷‍♂️

I am speaking in theory I guess---the at-fault driver's insurance company would be liable for all damages caused by Their customer's wreck. That should be replacement of the vehicle they damaged.

That’s why the insurance company pays the customer the current value of the vehicle that was lost due to being deemed a total loss. They have indemnified that customer and now the customer can go purchase whatever they want with the amount that the vehicle was valued at when the accident occurred 😊

Sorry for the loss, as soon as I saw the bags I knew it'd be totaled.
Glad to hear that you aren't badly hurt, here's hoping for a speedy recovery!

Hopefully you can get back into something quickly, there are tons of Escapes and Bronco Sports available where I am so if you like the drivetrain and general handling that may be an easy option.
