Our 2023 is now getting a fairly severe shake/shudder while accelerating. The dealership acts like it has never heard of a Maverick having this issue, they are saying it could be a week or longer to get us a loaner.

A search showed a lot of CV joint and damper problems as the cause of some but I’m wondering what else I can add to the list of places they can start?

My 23 Lariat is doing the same thing recently and I'll be calling the dealership to get it serviced. From everything I'm reading I'll certainly ask them to look at the CV axle. My concern is if they are replacing it with the same part, instead of something that was re-engineered or fixed somehow, we'll be doing this again in another 20-40K miles when I'm out of warranty. I never had to replace any CV axles on other cars at anything under 75K and usually over 100K.

Read up on the threads here already. There is a new part.

Just had my CV joints replaced for that reason. Fixed!

@exfr8dog I hope you got your truck taken care of by the dealer. Got mine done this last week (took 4 days to get all parts and for them to agree to do both sides) and it is nice and smooth now.

By the way, for folks that have had this done, did you get an alignment done at the same time. I feel like mine might drift very slightly to the right now on a straightaway, but it is hard to tell because of the crown on most roads.

The dealer performed the alignment after the axle replacements; my ppw and my discussion with the advisor (before and after the repair) also confirmed this.
