Adding 12V and USB power ports to the bed - installed photo

Just my OCD but I would have mounted them at the top of the plate as to not upset the QR code there but otherwise I like it!

volt meter is a little overkill but why not! I would just hook up to the 12v aux wire already in place. I don't want to run hot all the time.

Got the lux package with XLT so I wouldn't have to have 360 mandatory, the lux had every thing extra I wanted but have little use for heated seats in Florida. Just bought a 2200 watt generator for off grid camping but thinking of 2nd battery setup in hybrid since 12v is in cab under back seat.

If I remember correctly each side has a 12v line thats separately fused for 20 amps. I also think we get a pair of wiring pigtails that will connect to that plug.

Personally thinking of getting a marine grade 12v socket and installing it so its actually inside the storage cubby to run my little 12v air compressor.

Just a heads up. I believe the two 12V lines in the bed are run from the same 20amp fuse circuit.

I'm holding out for some company to basically replicate the inverter in the lux package or Ford to eventually make it a dealer installable upgrade.

You could just order the 110V/400W Cab Outlet with the inverter mounted behind the rear seat for $150 then just add the additional outlet in the bed and wire it up. There already is confirmation that the two outlets are just wired to the same inverter thus limiting the total power to 400 watts.

I'm in Florida as well. For me the heated seats are for my wife's bad back. Helps a lot on road trips, especially if we go visit the kids in Wisconsin.

To each their own though. There is a lot of variety in ways the Maverick can be set up and/or customized.

I am ordering the cab inverter, if they run off the same one then I'm extra aggravated that the cab inverter doesn't have an add on or bundle with the bed outlet. What the heck Ford? Charge me $300 extra if that makes it economical for you I'll pay for the factory look.

Same here. Hoping someone can provide a DIY video on this because for a while I thought the bed outlet was standard if you got the cab one..

I wanted to run my ARB fridge and had an extra wiring kit laying in the garage. I wanted it to be constant hot, so I ran from the battery to the panel where the 110 plug would be in the rear of the bed. I also found a 12V power port and dual USB port that are marine grade from another project. Tailgating just got a bit better.

When I`m homeless I`ll keep this in mind.

I have had this "This forum isn't rendering links properly" problem also. The forum is putting links to amazon and other selling site with the [MEDIA] tag and what the result is a large blank area.

The solution is to use the "Insert Link" feature that looks like the broken chain in the tool bar.

It will ask for the url and a description.

Here is an example:
