I have an order in for a lariat (had a xlt but changed it after initial orders had been scheduled). I've been reading about orders not coming with the trailer assist and am wondering if it's worth waiting and pausing my order until it's available. I was also curious if there is anything else missing from the earlier orders.

If I contacted my dealership and asked, what would I say to have them pause it until it has all the missing features from the first orders.

There is no way to "pause" an order, other than them setting it to priority 19 and then adding every possible accessory in the hope that one or more accessory is "constrained".

Safest way is to cancel the order and put in a new order when they are scheduling for Job 2.

If I was getting a Lariat I would want that feature.

The trailer assist feature is a game changer IMHO. I may order a 25 Maverick just for this reason.

I watched some YouTube videos on how the trailer assist works and it just seems to be a PITA unless you use the same trailer day to day and not comfortable with backing it up. I’m okay with mine not having it.

I had the same question, and trying to decide the same thing, and decided I did not need it.
1. I hardly ever tow, only a couple times.
2. I can backup fairly well.
3. Save $300
4. I like the look of non-ProTrailer tailgate better (not a big deal, but helped to decide)
5. The radio volume knob will be closer to you (again not a huge deal)
6. Will get truck sooner.
7. My understanding is that in order to use part of it, you have put stickers, or something, on the trailer. Not sure, just what I’ve heard in Tim’s live streams.

There are no other thing missing from Job 1.

If you own a trailer and use it often it could be helpful. You have to place stickers on the trailer for the system to work to its full potential. Thus, if you are renting a trailer it may not be much use as you wouldn’t waste the stickers on it. If you’re comfortable with backing a trailer then you can get by without it. I opted to order now and save the $300 for another accessory I’ll get more use out of, since I don’t currently own a trailer and have enough experience backing up to not worry about waiting for the feature to become available.

So, I didn't get an email or a text, I had to call my dealer. But, I'm scheduled for the week of 11/11. I got an:

XLT
Hybrid
AWD
Eruption Green
4k and 360
Nothing else.

So did all of you have a VIN in order to see your build and add it to the account?

I am on hold with Ford now and they are trying to figure it out. I just want to add my order number to my account. Seems like an easy thing but apparently it is impossible.

I am set at priority code 19. Which seems to be the lowest?
