As I am currently in the process of getting my transmission replaced due to a defect (slipping, accelerating from a stop issues) and reading a recent post, curious how many others have had a similar issue and not posted about it, and if this may be a larger issue.

Nothing out of the ordinary, just happend out of the blue in a parking lot. Low mileage, just over 6000km. Looked on the forum and found ThyITguy's thread with the same issue. Found similar posts effecting Bronco Sports with the same power train.

Polls can be helpful because most only post actual comments when they are having an issue, but most will respond to a poll.

Had the same problem after a CV axle seal replacement at 1000 miles. Mine would only show up when the truck would stop/start when warmed up. It took months, 3 service appointments and something like 7 thousand more miles for my dealer to finally fix the vehicle they sold me and that was only after I recorded it. They just kept saying there was nothing wrong with it. Hopefully you have a better experience.

I came across this post on the F-150's having the same issue with their 10 speed, which led to a class action lawsuit being filed.

Almost 2000km's since replacement and all seems good so far.
I wonder if there's going to be class action for the Maverick. Hopefully they get their quality control in order. So far its been 3000 miles (4800ks or so) since mine was changed and it hasn't noticibly slipped yet. Still will stick in a lower gear when going down hills on occasion, but I assume that's normal.

I've noticed that switching into reverse will, on occasion really shudder quite a bit - especially if on a hill.

I don’t think quality control will ever be fixed for vehicles built in Mexico.Scotty Kilmer says don’t buy vehicles made in Mexico, they always have problems
