Even if you had a shift lever, it's just going to tell the computer to determine if it's safe to proceed, and then do the action you requested when you moved the lever.

Think my statement was a two part request, first for a detent shifter, and the second part was that it would allow immediate downshifting to provide deceleration.
Don’t wish to get into a discussion about why it’s not possible with the E-Trans. Suffice to say it could be done, but most likely won’t due to gov mandates involving ‘Climate Change’. . . . hpdl
