600 Miles Per Tank Hybrid Maverick club

I just filled up for the first time yesterday. Initial tank, 607 miles, remaining range ~55mi. Trip computer indicated 43.2mpg. Fill-up was 13.411 gallons(I don't top off, just stop at first click). My calc = 45.26 mpg, through its possible whoever put the initial gas in the truck did top it off. Driving was mixed.

2nd 600 tank, this time with tonneau cover.

First tank fillup yesterday. This was a mix of town, city, hilly/curvy 2-lane, 4-lane & freeway - all under 70mph and A/C running most of the time.

I'm very pleased with the mileage and this truck!

Can I join the 600 club. I did it with my AWD ecoboost. 605.7 miles used 16.1 gallons 37.6 mpg. That was almost all highway miles.

Maybe 700-800 as the hybrid is only rated at +4mpg over the AWD mav on the highway. I drive very little in town so a hybrid for me doesn’t make a lot of sense. I’d like to try one though, but I can’t talk wife into trading her explorer for a mav.

Since you don't have a hybrid, one (me) wouldn't drive it on the highway to get the best MPG. I'm betting I would get 900 miles a tank easily.

I am two thirds through my first tank of gas in my new hybrid and am on pace for 625 miles. Am I to take it being in the 600 mile club just means you don't drive like a maniac? LOL

I had 50 MTE when I filled up. Dash estimate for the tank was actually slightly under at 45.9 MPG.

Warmer weather makes a big difference. This is 8.5% better than my previous tank. Which was also 8.5% better than the tank before it. Weird coincidence.

Spent some time in town where speed limit was 25mph plus some time just idling and quite a bit of two lane at 55 mph.

This tank was from somewhere in East PA and the driving was all from there to and around the south fork of Long Island. Mostly in Eco mode.

It means you don't leave your metro area. Cuz as soon as you do, you 'aint gettin' anywhere close to 600 miles on a tank drivin' the Interstate.

I may hit 600 this time, just because I'm stuck in a spring cleaning rut and overdue for a road trip. Next tank I swear, not a mile over 450 mi!!!

Yes, you're in!!! I once got 600 highway miles on a single tank round trip, 2011 Hyundai Sonata with the GDI engine. The Maverick Hybrid stayed at home that time. I would have gotten only 475 miles on that trip.

If you're on the Interstate, the Eco boost just dominates the conversation.
