Do be honest, at this point I want AWD or 4A.
Have to get the Ranger Raptor for that in the Ranger line.
150 is just too big.

I'm trying to justify the step up to a RR over a Maverick AWD.
It's really hard, but I have missed having a frame vehicle ever since I trade my Explorer in on a Flex.

here’s my thing. Who wants to drive a large truck everywhere? If it’s for work alright but you gotta live with that larger tank sized vehicle

I want to enjoy driving. Not feel like a chore and pay more doing it

99% of time it isn’t going to be pulling or full bed of stuff
100% is the reason i'm getting mine for the newest driver in the family, not even 18 yo. Parking is a bitch and this is the smallest I could find that fits their sports equipment. They are driving an old 2010 van now which is identical length.

Your justification is simply that the Maverick line doesn’t have a Raptor version. Ranger Raptors are cool as all get out. So if you’re wanting that look and that capability, I think you’re justified. Not that you really care what I think 🤣

Nah, I am also in the 4A (or AWD) club and they are absolutely correct that 4A is only available in ranger raptor.

It’s also not available in lower level f150s (STX, XL, and XLT) so for someone who wants 4A you are pushed into a higher trim version of F series trucks.

Do you think hybrid awd will get anywhere near that numbers?

It is entirely dependent on your driving style, type of driving, geography, and weather that the Hybrid is subjected to.

AWD Hybrid is rated 40mpg city / 34mpg hwy and combined 37mpg.

Ford's on board MPG calculations are generally optimistic by as much as 10%, and I would recommend tracking your efficiency using Fuelly and then after 3-5k miles compare to the on board computer and adjust using the AFE bias adjustment to get it closer.

LOL @SLINGSHOT mind 🤯 when he reads about the issues with Tacomas literally splitting in half.

My 2010 was completely disassembled and rebuilt on a new frame.

But you know, Yota reliability (my ass)…..
Wouldn't buy a Taco or a Tundra. Turbo engine. NO!!
Will stick Cross or RAV4 or Prius. Have to run the numbers on gas costs.
What is worse, a Taco splitting or a Pinto blowing up? And you just said, "That's in the past.". There are still Ford model that have a PARK OUTSIDE recommendation. Anyone who thinks Ford is on the same level as Toyota, deserves a Ford.

LOL have to wonder why such a huge Toyota fan spends their time on a FORD forum trying to convince them how great Toyota is.
You're so desperate you're comparing the Pinto from the 70s to Toyotas from the 2000s.

Lets talk about the GRs catching fire and Toyota claiming speeding is abuse and deny warranty.

Toyota recalls just in 2023:

Feb. 1 recall: RAV4 Prime
Toyota recalled certain 2021 RAV4 Prime Plug-In Hybrid vehicles due to the risk of the hybrid system shutting down and stalling while driving in EV Mode in cold weather conditions if the accelerator is rapidly pressed.

March 2 recall: 2022-2023 Tundra
On March 2, Toyota issued a recall for some 2022-2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles that have a Toyota genuine accessory tonneau cover. NHTSA said the cover may detach if the tonneau cover attachment joints become loose.

June 14 recall: 2023 Camry
Toyota issued a recall on June 14 for certain models of the 2023 Camry and Camry Hybrid. The lug nuts that connect the wheels to the vehicle may not have been tightened properly, which can result in the wheels detaching.

July 12 recall: several vehicles
Toyota has recalled several 2023 models, including Corolla, Corolla Cross, Corolla Cross Hybrid, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, and Tacoma, as well as 2023 Lexus RX350, RX350 Hybrid, RX500 Hybrid, and 2023-2024 Lexus NX250, NX350, and NX350 Hybrid vehicles due to an issue with the electrical connection inside the steering column's spiral cable assembly. NHTSA said this may have caused the driver's airbag to deactivate.

July 12 recall: RAV4 Prime 2022 Lexus NX450h
Toyota recalled some 2021-2022 RAV4 Prime and 2022 Lexus NX450h+ plug-in hybrid electric vehicles on July 12 due to a potential electrical short-circuit caused by a damaged electric current rectifying module in the DC-DC converter.

August 10 recall: Tundra Hybrid
Toyota recalled certain 2022-2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles due to a potential fuel leak caused by a plastic fuel tube rubbing against metallic brake lines.

Sept. 13 recall: Tundra Hybrid
Toyota recalled 2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles due to an incorrect load-carrying capacity label on the spray-on bed liner accessory, which can cause overloading and violate Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the NHSTA said.

Nov. 1 recall: RAV4
Toyota issued a recall for some 2013-2018 RAV4 vehicles. The NHSTA said replacement 12-volt batteries may not fit properly in the battery tray, causing the battery to move and contact the hold-down bracket, which could result in a short circuit.

Dec. 6 recall: Toyota GR Supra
BMW issued a recall for certain 2023 Toyota GR Supra models due to a manufacturing defect with the weld seam of the integrated transmission control unit's cover. This issue could've caused automatic transmission oil to leak into the transmission control unit, leading to hazardous driving conditions and potential damage to the vehicle.

Dec. 20 recall: RAV4 Prime
Toyota recalled some 2021-2022 RAV4 Prime and 2022 Lexus NX450h+ plug-in hybrid electric vehicles on July 12 due to a potential electrical short-circuit caused by a damaged electric current rectifying module in the DC-DC converter.

Right. Right - the Prius a bastion of reliability. 🤣🤣🤣

You know the one that had a stop sale in 2024 for rear doors that will open during operation and could fly open during a crash potentially ejecting a passenger....

Or in 2022 when they recalled it because the hybrid drivetrain would shutoff at speed.

Or in 2018 when they recalled 200k Prius because they could catch on fire.....

Or the 2016 stop sale for the parking brake failing to engage....

Or the 28 other recalls Toyota Priuses have had....

You cannot honestly be serious, can you???

Oh no he's taking his ball and going home because someone provided facts refuting the notion of bulletproof Priuses.....

Ironically I don't currently own a Ford. Just keeping an eye on the forums of what I'm considering next.
The Fords I have owned among many other brands have been reliable- actually kept them longer than the others.

Today, I learned that my Ranger is not a truck.
Definitions in the dictionary do become obsolete sometimes & have to be revised, the state registration says it's a truck, it's a truck!
The Maverick doesn't HAVE to be a 40K truck, it just depends how many gadgets you think you need. My 22 XLT was $23,700, I can build a 25 XL model for $29,110, but I now have AWD included, + 360 copilot too, so half that extra cost is required equipment, I can & would most likely add 4K tow since it would be AWD & that raises it to $30,500, still far under 40K.

I was being facetious. I consider both the Maverick and Ranger a truck.
