Oh come on! What's wrong with Posi taps?! I've been using them for years and never had an issue.
If not Posi Taps, then what?

Maybe I'm missing something here,, I DID order the inverter, and the hitch, as well as a drop in bed mat. But, I'm told the inverter I ordered was the set up that's in the center console accessible from the back seat, and as of today the dealer claims he thinks no path exists to order just a bed inverter/outlet set up in the build. Two days ago, I went to my Ford dealer and looked over a customers XLT, inverter, and hitch was ordered per the build sheet info. There was no cubby, no inverter in the bed, but "The Inverter" was ordered and on the build sheet. The inverter you order in the build apparently IS NOT the inverter in the bed. In my search to gain knowledge on this issue this afternoon, I've seen posts that seem to suggest the only way you can get the bed inverter set up is to order a "Luxury" package, then the bed has the cubby and inverter set up. I cant belive it would take a seperate wire loom for this option, and hoping one could order the part (just like the $46 cubby assembly) Am I wrong here?? Thanks
I also thought the inverter meant the console AND bed outlet but recently realized the bed outlet only comes with the Luxury PKG. I’m planning the possibly add an outlet after I get my truck and I would need to run the wiring to the inverter behind the back seat.

Yeah, Im hoping the bed inverter is available thru the parts dept. I'm still unsure what wiring is in the box area. Some suggest the amperage of any factory bed 12 volt wiring wouldn't support the factory inverter. Hoping an electric guru on this site has info, if info is possible at this point. Would rather install factory components, with Ford factory wiring. I find it hard to believe that a truck with the Luxury package would require a separate wiring harness. I could see unused plugs hidden somewhere, just waiting to be used for those options. Can you imagine the logistics issues a separate "LUX ONLY" wiring loom might cause on a production line?

This person added a 12v and 110 outlet to their XL.

I don't know how you got on a list to "order" a 2023? We're all unable to do that until August and when that comes around then you will see if any option changes are different than the 2022 model year that have been stopped as of November (hybrid) and January for all the rest...
I don't know about his list but I am #12 on the sales lady's appointment calenders for 2023 maverick ordering at my dealer!🤗

Soooo, is anyone able to shed light on this issue,, if you can,, in fact,, install a FACTORY FORD 110 inverter to the box on an XL or XLT truck bed?? Not interested in an aftermarket,, not interested in having to run separate wiring,, but the ability to order the parts from FORD,, and find, hopefully, the needed wiring on the factory loom somewhere? Thanks (Maybe someone with a Maverick could post a fuse diagram on here so we could see how this option is fused??)

Placed myself on a 2023 order list for an XLT. Curious, I see on the discussion boards that adding a factory storage compartment in the bed is an easy project, and around $45 bucks. I understand there is 12 volts pre wired in all the Maverick models, that's good. Can the 400 watt/12 volt outlet kit be ordered and installed easily? And does anyone know the price? Thank you in advance.
The key to answering your question is finding out if there is a "terminated/ capped" wire harness end that is taped/attached inside the wall of the bed on the driver side that would otherwise be connected to the cubby cover on those models that have the bed inverter and bed light option.

If that wire harness terminal is there then all you have to do is buy the proper cubby cover that has the outlet + light fixture and hook that up.

For this to be a possibility, you must have at least the 400w inverter in-cab option since the same inverter services both inverter access points (in-cab & bed). It is just a matter of - is the wiring (harness) seating there ready to be connected?

In some pictures, you can see two wire bundles branching off of the inverter, one disspears through the back of the truck into the bed somewhere ...

There are zero reasons why you shouldn't add the inverter and the tow hitch on a factory build - heck even the full-sized spare is worth the cost.
Check and check And… factory manual sliding rear window is a deal as well IMO.

Someone is aging them selves here. I too would call it that only to be told it is now considered a Power Point! Not if you grew up listening for the pop once the lighter got glowing red.
