Livid? It took 3 tries for my dealer to fix this on mine. It all had to do with the vapor canister, purge valve, and associated parts. Neither the fuel nor clean oil has anything to do with this. Relax and take it to the dealer.
At this point, without using a scanner to retrieve the specific error code, there is absolutely no way for anyone to know whether the OP has a similar to yours, or not... Why raise his blood pressure further until he knows one way or the other?

As someone else pointed out, Autozone or Pep Boys (or almost any auto parts store) will read the ODB-II port and give you the detailed code that should help diagnose the problem. Without that, it's just wild speculation.

Dude you have a warranty (which is why you buy a brand new vehicle, so if anything goes wrong, its covered by the dealer). Lol. Take it to the dealer and they'll fix it free. I had a check engine light and had a bad heat exchange valve at about 20k miles which is a common problem and they replaced it no problem. And I use circle K gas and only have changed the oil 3 times in 25k miles. Runs like a champ and gets 40 miles a gallon.

It’s not Wild speculation. It is years of experience with several different models of Ford trucks. All had emissions related faults.

Wow. I don't run shell gas much less nitro, whatever it is. Does it have UNAPPROVED by Ford additives?

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

Dude - CHILL... No one is questioning your manhood . I was pointing out to the OP that finding out the actual code is the first step in making an actual diagnosis and start the troubleshooting process. And yes, I would say "guessing" that it's emissions related is just that - a guess.

For the record, I've also had 50+ years of experience with a wide variety of vehicles (including several Fords) and maybe once in all those years a CEL was for an emissions related fault. That particular one was a leaking gas cap – my 82-year-old (at that time) Mom somehow managed to cut/tear the rubber seal around her cap while filling up her tank. The issue was obvious as soon as I saw the code and then checked the gas cap. We could go back and forth with anecdotal evidence all day, and it still won't help the OP diagnose and fix HIS problem.

Buy a BlueDriver OBD II reader. You plug the bluetooth OBD II reader into the port and can read an reset codes using your phone. Can't even count how many times it has saved my ass.

Well we should all apologize on behalf of Ford motor company and this entire forum that you got a check engine light on your very expensive new vehicle that should be flawless. 🙃

Also if you fill the fuel while it's running or you excessively top off the tank and click it multiple times to get to the next even dollar then you may have caused this yourself. Evap is fuel tank pressure and vapor recovery and is a very common system to have issues on vehicles of all makes and models.

Figure out what the code is, let us know what it is if you would like actual help or advice.

Filling the fuel tank is the cause? Are you outside of your mind? I paid 35k for this Maverick, I didn't finance it, so yes I expect Ford who's has manufactured engines for over 100 years to have this solved. Excuse me.
