Unfortunately, I can confirm that the auto lock wires are not present at that location on the XL. Where did you get that diagram? I would be interested to see more of that schematic.

I suspect I'm gonna be running a wire from front to back to get this done.

Another complicating factor in this situation is that there appear to have been some changes in the tailgate handle between the Job-1 2025 Mavericks and the Job-2 2025 Mavericks, at least in the higher trim levels. In some of the pictures I’ve seen, the whole handle assembly looks different and seems to have an extra light. Maybe it’s only related to the Pro-trailer assist?

If the OP’s truck was indeed built in November of 24, it should be a Job-1 build. Some current 2025 parts diagrams may show Job-2 configurations.

I have a January 2025 XL. Maybe I drop the spare and open the tailgate to see for myself??

In hybrid without CP360, I can access pigtail without lowering small spare. See the connection. It is coaxial. I believe it is type 59Z178. Then this coaxial goes to another big connector at the side having 14 wires. It may have a power lock cable to tap there but that beyond my knowledge.

OK, I finally got to open my tailgate and drop spare. I believe the actual manual device looks like a 23-24. But the wire connections from tailgate to under truck box is only a small cable. I see a large block of connectors and wonder if the tailgate power is in there. Any wizards out there that can advise??? Thanks

I see this listing on eBay stating it is for the 2025/2026 Maverick. Says both the actuator and the wiring harness. Not my listing, and I have no affiliation with this. I was hoping to see the part numbers. Here is a screen clip of the cable.

This is for an old model. It cannot be for 2025. I do not think there is a simple replacement cable to work on 2025. We need to tap into the right cable on that big connector at side in a hope the power lock wire in there. I am waiting for someone with a power lock to roll under and take some pictures of their harness. Like I said above, who does have donut spare, no need to remove tire, can hold phone in there and take some pictures. If someone really do not want to.

Do we have anyone here with XLT to share the pictures of connector underside of 2025 maverick? I think once we know how the power lock cable is routed to the main harness, it may give some idea if the tapping is possible.
