My maverick hybrid makes some noises, but I wouldn’t describe them the way you are. Are you sure that some of the sounds you are hearing are not the federally mandated artificial noises that electrified vehicles are required to make below a certain speed?
That bit was quite awkward to work with. It would be better if BedRug used 2 zippers starting at both back corners, so that the bulky zipper pulls would be up front, where there is more room for them.
I bought a gas pressure washer a few years ago. The manual tha came with it says that it is no longer recommended to ever change the oil, just check it an add if necessary. It seems crazy to me, but thats what the manual says
When you look for tires to fill the wheelwells better, you might want to be careful to watch for load range and tire weight. One of the sizes I was homing in on turns out to be a size used on heavy trucks, and they were all load range E and very heavy. I think this would mess with both your...
On the topic of insurance costs, rates vary widely, but I can tell you that my 2025 Maverick Lariat replaced a 2018 Cadillac CT6 PHEV on my policy. The insurance company sent me back a check for a couple hundred dollar refund since the Maverick was cheaper to insure than the Cadillac, Same...
As far as I can tell, there is no add-on Lux package for the Lariat trim for the 2025 model year. The Lariat just gets most of the bells and whistles, just not a fore-aft adjustable headrest.
Yes, essentially, but the Kuga is built by Ford Europe, and the Escape is built in the US. Same basic design, but not likely a common supply chain for many components. If there a design flaws in one, they likely exist in the other, but part defects in purchased parts, such as batteries, may...
Similar here, I got it one cold morning when there was either dew on the windsheild and/or a bit of fogging on the inteior glass, it cleared up after a few minutes of driving and I haven't seen it again since.
I find this page to be useful to navigate all the available tire sizes for a given rim diameter.
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/sizes/results.jsp?diameter=19
235/60R19 would be about the right size, but I don’t see any AT tires in that size.
I picked up some 17” rims to try and find a better...
I’m assuming you mean the 5 quart jug :)
I recently picked up Mobil 1 0W20 AFE in the 6 quart box for $31 on sale at Costco.
The 6 quart box lets you do a full oil change and have 1/3 of a quart left over. Costco does not carry the Hybrid specific version.
The 5 quart jugs would drive me crazy...
I would consider the Hybrid specific oil to be ideal for all Plug-in Hybrids and regular hybrids that are used mostly for short trips in the city where the engine seldom reaches full operating temperature. For regular hybrids that drive longer drives and get to full temperature on a regular...
I travel a lot between the Phoenix area and NE Oregon. I’m keenly aware of the challenges of traveling by BEV in those areas. I always dread having to stick to I-15 and I-84, since you miss the best parts of those states when you do.
Another complicating factor in this situation is that there appear to have been some changes in the tailgate handle between the Job-1 2025 Mavericks and the Job-2 2025 Mavericks, at least in the higher trim levels. In some of the pictures I’ve seen, the whole handle assembly looks different and...
I agree with the sentiment that the Escape PHEV is a more valid reference point for a potential Maverick PHEV. The Ford Kuga may be a similar platform, but Ford, Europe would have an entirely different supply chain than a North America built Maverick PHEV and European charging systems are quite...
It’s pretty simple, the Jeep 4XE is a Plug-in ELECTRIC Hybrid and it can be driven for hundreds of miles over the course of several weeks without starting the engine, if your use case is short trips with recharging in-between.
The Maverick is a GAS Hybrid, so 100% of the energy to move it down...
It sounds to me like they have fixed the wrong thing 3 different times.
Mine haven't had any trouble. My truck was built in December, so they've been good for 3.5 months so far.
About the same as mine.
I can check my pessimistic attitude though, after going out to my truck to check for an update (which it said there was not) I came back in the house, and within 20 minutes, I see on FordPass that it did just install the same update that you got 🤪
