I agree with that as it's easy to observe.See the highlighting in the post above... it's more commonly the drivers themselves that are unsafe on the road, not the stuff they're driving. I've seen the nicest & newest vehicles ever with distracted inattentive drivers at the wheel. Texting, talking on the phone, navigating a touchscreen (because all the knobs have been taken away), and so on. These people are way more common and more dangerous than an underinflated tire.
However, if you follow the "Just Rolled In" fb page you'll see a very common occurrence of rusted-out older vehicles and truly amazing things with brakes, hubs, ball joints, etc.
there are some very scary unroadworthy vehicles out there. my state does not have inspections and they say it's manpower (it's done by the highway patrol), but I have a strong feeling that it also would feel like a punishment against lower income brackets to inspect and ban their vehicles from the road. plus many of them would drive anyway, just illegally.
anyway, totally agree. vehicles overall aren't that unsafe. drivers are unsafe.
