I wonder if my 25 is affected? I got done signing the purchase paperwork yesterday morning at the dealer (05/23/25) and drove home at about 11am. Might have gotten lucky!
You got EXTREMELY lucky. The recall was issued on Yesterday. They obviously didn’t look at their list yesterday morning. If they had, you would not have been able to take delivery. If your truck was BUILT on or before April 25, it’s covered by the recall. Fortunately, it’s probably a simple fix because the light is located in the vent. So at the very most it will require the removal of the center vent and either replacing the vent or the indicator. either way, the repair should be simple.
Smart VINCENT (the sales front end system) should check if the vehicle is under recall during the process and, my understanding is, makes it very obvious if they're trying to proceed the sale on a vehicle flagged.

So it's more likely it's not affected by virtue of being an XLT since it sounds like the commonality is Lariats.

i can't imagine the defected part issue is any different for any trim level. dont recall noticing any visual differences of that part on the dash of different trims and sounds crazy that ford would stock a different part for that based on trim level. but who knows, anything is possible, maybe a bad batch of parts

I checked with the NHTSA web site using my VIN number and my '25 LOBO is on the recall list. Site said there was no fix for the problem at this time.
My Mav was built 25FEB25
So the 25 LOBO is on the recall list for this specific recall for the passenger side airbag light? Interesting as there's been a lot of talk that only the Lariats are affected by this.

Just checked oasis on our Tech page. My vehicle now has this recall. Glad I already have it in my possession 😂
So your XLT is affected by this recall? It was talked about only Lariats being affected by it so this is interesting. I picked up my XLT AWD Hybrid on Thursday and was hoping that it's not part of this recall but maybe it is...

A Lobo High is basically a Lariat along with the Tremor.

Maybe some difference to do with the interim Job 1 module without trailer assist.

Yes. As a Ford technician, I have access to Ford's technicians site. We can enter our VIN and access repair manuals, technical bulletins recalls. Etc for any Ford or Lincoln vehicle. I entered my VIN, and the recall was listed.

Interesting I just looked at the build date on the VIN tag and it says 4/25. Guess we will see if I get the recall letter. Figures!
The good thing is that even if it's under the recall, nothing detrimental will happen. Just the passenger air bag disabled warning light may fall out of place. So you can't see it. But everything will still function correctly. And the actual repair will be relatively simple and quick based on the location of the component

Mine is an XLT, I entered the VIN on our technician site. It's listed.

Plenty of posts in the multiple threads that XLT models are being included too.

Lariat appears to have been rumor due to Google AI synopsis.

Makes sense, same bezel (well maybe not exactly the same hence the issue) used in all the years/trims.
Just moved location for 25MY.

Yes, I remarked earlier that I actually entered my VIN on my 2025 XLT. And it shows this recall open with an advance notice.

I haven’t heard. We have not gotten any such information at our dealership.
Just at dealer my Maverick sitting there a no sale due to passenger side air bag light may dislodge from dash and you can’t see it. If you have on order Halt in lariat production and build dates. Till a fix is come up with. Just sad

Yes, after I posted this, I actually looked my vehicle up. It’s on the list. Glad I got mine when I did. Hopefully, they provide a fix real soon. I shouldn’t be a complicated fix.

Might want to consider ordering another one, to be able to take advantage of employee pricing, as it seems the fix won’t be here by the time that ends in early July,
