It's funny you say that. When my '24 Lariat Tremor hit the 25-26K mark, I went to look at the identical truck sitting at a local dealer, thinking I might just take the $$$ hit and re-start the warranty clock. From the looks of it, that truck had never been washed or moved in the year+ it had been sitting on the lot. Just a terrible presentation.

About $40,000, maybe $39,000

This is likely why every once in awhile (I'd say it's happened about 4 times in the year I've owned it) I get a "Shift system fault" and "Transmission not in Park" message. From the NHTSA notice .... though I got no wrench light:

"Identification of any warning that can occur: If the binding condition occurs, the customer will see no illuminated range position (P is not illuminated), and a wrench light and shift system fault message will be displayed in the instrument panel cluster."

Better to keep what you have. A vehicle sitting like that can have issues down the road due to dry rot of gaskets in the engine.

FYI. 2024 has older tech and older Ecoboost engine... But yeah, if its cheap enough...

Look at the window sticker to see what dealer the car was sold to from Ford. May have bought from a dealer that was closing.

Yeah, that is very common...Not the closing down but dealer to dealer sales.

My ‘23 sat in LA (I was in Honolulu) for more than a month…I bet it was an active recall..or just something stupider.

Description

On your vehicle, the integrated park module ipm may not properly engage the park pawl, preventing the vehicle from locking into park when park p is selected. If this condition occurs, a wrench light and shift system fault message will be displayed in the instrument panel cluster. Additionally, the vehicles electronic parking brake epb will automatically apply.

I actually got my 2024 Lariat Tremor last June 2025, built July 2024, it was sitting 11 months at the dealer 'cause the rear camera stop sale issue... I got a heck of a deal... lows 30's OTD
No issues whatsoever

to the best of my knowledge, Lariats were not under the stop sale due to the rear camera issue because they have sync 3...

Yeah, who is going to pay that much for a two year old truck? They should be $8-10k off MSRP minimum.
