I have looked all over on that bottle of 303 multi surface cleaner.
I cannot find any warning not to use it on clear plastic.
If there is no warning on your bottle you may want to get a hold of Gold Eagle manufacturer of 303.
It cannot hurt to get them involved.

I'm going to say the "cleaner" caused this. either way, i learned a valuable lesson here. always spray the agents onto your cloths outside of the vehicle. this was an overspray situation
There is a review on Amazon using the 303 protectant. The overspray ruined a guy's plexiglass cluster cover as well, $400 repair. I will just use 303 protectant on the exterior from now on. The cleaner, I will trash it. I can just use a damp soft cloth to clean the interior and find another interior protectant. Thanks again.

Long story short, I cleaned my vehicle with 303 Vehicle Interior cleaner and evidently, it etched my gauge cluster on my XLT.
I ordered a lariat cluster lens (Cluster Lens - Ford (M1PZ-10890-A)) - and this lens does not fit the XLT//XL trucks.
Despite contacting Ford corporate, my local ford dealer, and numerous parts suppliers, not a single soul can find a new gauge cluster lens part number for the XLT models.
Do these exist, and how can I get this ordered to end the suffering of etched instrument cluster plastic?

Thanks in advance, everyone!

I would think a kit to polish the yellowing off head lights would work as well.

I wonder if Novus Plastic polish will take those stains out. Ironically, 303 also makes a plastic/Vinyl cleaner.

Thoughts on Meguiars PlastX?
When did water ever let you down? Why are you determined to use chemical concoctions?

Plexus and similar are used on items that will be subject to having bugs smashed against them, like aircraft and motorcycle windscreens - so they will be easier to clean.

I am not sure what you are trying to protect that lens from, but consider just using water to clean it unless and until you find it doesn't work. Because as you have discovered - chemicals will jack it up, and as you are no doubt discovering - changing it is not easy.

Perhaps you should read before commenting. Just a thought
It clearly states that 303 Interior Cleaner etched my gauge cluster lens.
Later, I mentioned that it was overspray of the cleaner that caused it, not a direct spray or wipe of the cluster..
Past that, I cannot help you comprehend the rest of the thread here.

Good luck, sir! I appreciate your input for the engagement metrics of this thread.

Very possible! I'm going to give PlastX a shot, I suppose. It's on my doorstep as we speak

You are past the point of no return, go ahead and try anything maybe you will get lucky. I saw a guy on YouTube just now have great results cleaning his plastic cluster with PlastX that had deep scratches. It practically looked brand new afterwards. It took a bit of patience but eventually, all the scratches came out. Good luck.

I don't read the later reply to the reply to the reply that contains information that should have been stated up front in the OP which could also have been (and still could be) edited to add it after the fact.

I read the part where you keep asking dumb questions. There is no reason to be spraying anything in your interior but water and should you ever need to use anything but water, spray it on the dang rag!

You're not making yourself look any smarter by attacking me, and you aren't going to pass the dunce cap to me in this thread. You own it, it's yours and looks like a perfect fit - almost like you were born wearing it. Good luck with it 😉

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

I'll see what PlastX can do today. Will be removing the whole cluster to test.
