That's the idea. But it all comes down to dealer allocations. I think my dealer has around 80 rollover order and I highly doubt they have 80 allocations for October, let alone for the rest of the year. I think they were averaging 10-15 a month.

Ford seems really optimistic they can get all orders out (order banks are still open)

Yes, seeing those order banks still open gives me a thread of hope.

Hmm, I thought all MY23 orders being flipped to MY24 orders were getting priority and starting TO BE BUILT asap before mid-Oct when the MY24 orders start being built? I certainly hope so...I'm a MY24 order and would like mine SOMETIME IN 2024! lol! Hopefully the added 3rd shift at Hermosillo plant will allow things to move along quicker!

ASAP is Oct. Mavericks being scheduled for the last few weeks have been Sep/Oct. Ford has said that they expect that most of the rollovers with be built by Feb, I think.

of the Remaining Unscheduled MY23 Orders 17,867 are Hybrids and 3,922 are EcoBoosts

This is more than likely the last scheduling week for MY23 as MY24 orders are now being prioritized.

It looks likely that more than 21,000 MY23 Orders will not be produced as MY23 and roll over to MY24 Orders.

Even though you are at "priority 2" it may be some time before you get a scheduled build date.

I just hit up the Ford chat to confirm that my '24 order was now at priority 02 down from 10, which confirms Ford sees it as a carryover and the paperwork is hopefully all good! Also guess it means I'm out of luck for this last week of cleanup.

Yeah Feb. seems realistic if you use the numbers here as a guide:

Looks like roughly 9 to 10K have been built per month lately. So actual '24 orders will start to build sometime in Feb if my logic is correct. (assuming 21,789 Remaining Unscheduled MY23 Orders as
huunvubu posted.)

Just texted my dealer earlier this week and I just today got a notification about a 2024 order being submitted...I think it might not have been submitted it up to this point! Being a rollover from 23' I really hope my priority code gets updated. I'll have to keep checking in now.

Thank you for the post OP. I checked last night and am Priority Code 2 as well. A good sign I believe.

And with the order banks still open and the price increase, it would appear that demand has lessened which bodes well for us rollover orders.

Well they don't start building 24s until the second half of Oct. They are not now building special 24s for us 23 "rollover" losers. They won't even start until later Oct. Your 24 order may well be built sometime in 24 - but certainly not in 23.
Actually, I take that back. many 2022 orders did not get built until many many other new 23 orders were built. In fact, some are still waiting for their 2022 order now being moved to a 2024. 2025 is not unrealistic for new 24 orders, especially the XL hybrid.

I'm getting Ecoboost XL. Hoping the XL won't delay mine too much. I've really no use for the few extra features that comes with XLT.

Tim did say that name, address and MY23 order number must match and be placed by the same dealer.

For the first time since I placed my original order in September 2022, I got onto Ford chat and verified my 2024 order. It was a relief to find that it was actually in the system as a priority 2.
