Confirmed from me as well. I just went in and the dealer looked into the system, saw it as a 2023 and said it is currently locked. Had me look over what I wanted to change and said he would send a confirmation email that I could sign agreeing to the changes and I won't need to stop back in. He was receptive when I told him I would keep an eye out for online information that indicated changes could be made. I would call him "reluctantly receptive" but made a point to say he is tired of hearing about online rumors that turn out to be untrue lol. I am switching from an XLT to an XL so I will be the guinea pig and tell you how much this decision has screwed me over lol

Frustrating to see folks with responsive dealers while mine doesn't reply. When people post that changes are being accepted, I'll be on my way to see them. I won't be bringing them fresh baked cookies. That ship has sailed.

do you think it's conducive to tell the other what we want change now? Or will we have to sign a new order sheet either way and it won't make a difference?
They make the changes before you sign a new order sheet.

I would be at the dealership to supervise the changes you want to make and walk away with a new DORA showing every trim, option, priority and price to your satisfaction.

Since I can't remember if @fordvideoguy mentioned during a lot walk or live stream, a 11/15 finalized DORA will have a greater chance of scheduling than a 11/30.
DORAs aren't available until Ford generates them, typically next business day.

im asking if a new signed order sheet is needed in the first place or can dealer do it by themselves without the need for customer to sign

Tim,

Thanks for all you do and can't wait for tonight's' Youtube podcast.

Went to go visit my dealer @9:15am this morning as soon as they opened (Sheehy Ford Springfield). My salesman is long gone from my Sept 2021 order by the guy who tracks orders behind a desk helped.

He confirmed that Ford had rolled the order to MY23 with a Priority code 99, BUT he could not edit my order to remove the constraint options. He said the edit button was just not there and took my phone number for when he had access to edit.

He also found no record of a $2750 private offer but said that should come later also. Still holding my breath.

I work for a dealership... I checked the WBDO system myself to see if we can change our transitioned order. I can see the order, but it cannot be modified at this time.
Probably will be able to do so later today, or tomorrow.
Same at my dealership. I was there at 9 am and the order specialist showed me he could see the 2023 duplicated order but couldn’t make changes. He called Ford and, as you said, they should be available for change later today or tomorrow. I only had one change necessary to drop the spray-in bed liner. They will make it, change the priority from 99 to 10, submit it on the system, and send me the DORA once finalized. I will initial and return.

I did similar today. Dealer could see but not modify so took down the changes that I wanted to make. I added lux, CP360 to my XLT.

You have till the 30th to get it moved from priority 99 down to a 10-19 but it has been assumed that the sooner it is done the quicker it will get looked at for scheduling. Hopefully these orders will be unlocked and able to be set at the lower priority later today or early tomorrow to possibly get some of them scheduled this week.

Tim, if our dealership has a duplicated order code for a Maverick 2023, what needs to be done for the 2022 order? Will Ford be taking care of that automatically or is that something the dealership needs to talk to Ford directly about?

Tim, Thanks for the great job you have done for us. The retail order system was designed for someone to place an order with their dealer and take their vehicle home in a couple months.

No one could have predicted the challenges of COVID and the supply chain fiasco that have caused orders like mine to go over 15 months and into a new model year.

Many dealers were/are not up to the challenge.

You have gone above and beyond the call of duty. You have set the bar very high for other dealers.

Don't touch your old MY22 order! That is needed for your Special Offer. If there is someone elses new Maverick MY23 order with your MY22 order number then the dealer will need to change their number, not yours. Later the dealer needs to change your new MY23 order from Priority 99 down to something like a 10.
