Tim, how are you feeling about the Spray-in Bedliner? Are you still feeling people should leave it off? I'm a 22 with vin that got rolled over and hopefully will be reordering my truck this week. Had lux package so losing that on my 23

I called dealer today like Tim said they told me order locked and give them few days work out the kinks but can see I have been flipped from 22 to 23. Is this true Tim that I have time to get this done .
I'm not Tim but I believe you have until Nov. 30th to get your dealership to change the order and set priority code to 10-19.

I also went in today and Dealer could see both orders with the 23 order locked. Funny thing is he insisted that the 22 order would get built because I have a VIN.. .(lol) I tried to explain what I have learned here... but he said he had NEVER ever seen a VIN created for an order and the car not be built. I told him I would be back tomorrow....

I also mentioned that the forum recommends ditching the hitch and Spray in when we can convert.... He said he had heard of the hitch issues but not the spray in... Afraid I am going to have to go with what the crowd is saying since he seems painfully unaware of what is going on with the Mavericks in general.

Hoping to get this all cleared up by tomorrow....

Ditching the hitch and spray-in liner pertains more to the completely new 23 orders. They will build a percentage of orders with the hitches and spray-in liners and since our orders that were 22 hybrids with VINs that are getting cancelled and reordered as 23s will be in the very front of the line, we have the absolute best shot at being one of those orders.

Honestly, other than the items constrained at 1-10% and the items that can be installed after the truck arrives, I would say, you should be safe to put on any other option and feel confident that it will get built that way because we are being prioritized above all other orders.

Man I HOPE that is true... I wish there was an option that said: Put the <insert option > on if you have it... otherwise build it without!

The past few hours produced many prime questions for this evening's live stream. I'll be tuning in to see what others ask and say.

I'm getting off work in 5 minutes, I'm assuming it's still locked and we're trying again tomorrow. Looks like I'm going home and not to the dealer.

I might have to jump on the live stream tonight and pose this scenario to Tim and see what his thoughts on it are... 🤔

Don't touch your old MY22 order! That is needed for your Special Offer. If there is someone elses new Maverick MY23 order with your MY22 order number then the dealer will need to change their number, not yours. Later the dealer needs to change your new MY23 order from Priority 99 down to something like a 10.
The deadline for the duplicate order number issues was the 9th though. Unfortunately if the dealer didn't fix the conflicts, this other person is likely S.O.L.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I had a similar experience talking with my dealer this morning. He seems to believe that my 22 is still going to be built based on the fact I have a VIN and a production date that hasn't been balanced out yet. He also had no idea that they were duplicating the order and turning them into 23s, so I'm feeling a little worried since he doesn't seem to have any idea. I told him to call be back once he can edit things so we can get the priority code changed.

I don't think they are SOL quite yet, Tim mentioned that they have a scenario at their dealership where there is a 22 order with a VIN set to be cancelled, and a new 23 hybrid, that have the same order number and they were not able to change the order number on the new 23 hybrid because it already got scheduled.

If I'm remembering correctly, he said the Maverick team advised him not to do anything and that when the 11-09 deadline passed, these orders will get flagged and the dealership will be contacted by someone from Ford to resolve the issue.

By this logic, it can be assumed that if there was an order number being shared issue at the dealership that wasn't corrected, Ford will contact that dealership to fix it. I think the 11-09 deadline was more of a, in order to make this transition faster and smoother, kind of deadline.

So, I don't think they are SOL, the process will probably just take longer for that order than for others.

I absolutely agree. I put the lux and copilot back on, plus the black appearance package. As long as Ford converts the rollover builds to priority 02, hybrid, lux and 360 should be fine on a build.
Edit: But don't you dare put on splash guards! No build for you!

Ah, good to know. I think I skipped last week's stream so I'm a little behind. Thanks!

dealers can any change to an order without customer authorization.
Tim, Did you mean "Dealers can NOT make any changes without customer authorization."? If so, does that mean that I, the customer, must have the opportunity to review and authorize my MY23 transition order before it changed to Priority 02 and gets scheduled? This question is based on the fact that the order must be changed given that my MY22 order contained the XLT Lux Package and at minimum that will require selection of the MY23 Lux Package PLUS new standalone options to make up for what was dropped from the MY22 XLT Lux Package. I wish to make changes and don't want the dealer to place the new order without my requested changes and authorization. Thanks!
