I don't think that there is a way you can call the dealership's rep.

Ford chat might be able to look and see if there is a 23 order in the system for you though.

BTW the "look harder" was directed at the dealership, and not you! I read it back and it seemed rather ambiguous as to what I meant!

My dealer just sent me this, new 23 set at priority 10, now I just hope it will get looked at for scheduling this week! 🤞🙈

Priority Code set to 10 at 4:09 today! Changed nothing on my order. Fingers (and eyes) crossed.

This is what my dealer wrote me when I asked what Priority Code 10 means. Based on what I've read on this forum this is a lie.

"Priority Code 10 means that the Maverick build was picked up but has been cancelled before production despite being serialized.

I appreciate the disappointment. Should you choose to keep your order in place you will be receiving a 2024 Maverick, not a 2023."

I believe the truck (Hybrid 2022) I ordered is going to get built as a 2023 and the dealer will then sell it for thousands above MSRP, as they are doing with other Mavericks.

First time "buying" a Ford (I'm cancelling the deal, not waiting until 2024 with no vehicle and not willing to find something to bridge the gap), and definitely the last time I'll consider Ford. Too bad, really looks like a great vehicle but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Update: I just phoned Ford Customer Care. Explained the situation. They said they would open a case with the dealer, and while there are no explicit protections for customers to prevent dealers from taking delivery and selling over MSRP, it isn't something they should be doing (although she admitted some are). She looked into my order and it is still processing, so no, mine hasn't been flipped to a 2024.

I really don't know what to think. I want the vehicle, but man I am down on Ford, or at least this dealer's, business practices. It seems frankly incompetent or unconscionable, and neither of those sit well with me.

Just got back from my dealer who was adamant that he could not. To prove it to me, they actually contacted Ford via some messaging and showed me the response that Ford is having an IT problem and they could not get in.

I thanked the salesman and told him to please thank the manager for taking the time to contact Ford. Then I told him I'd come back down whenever they told him the issue was fixed. I was able to finally write down the changes I wanted and get him to keep it.

He had told me that my order had transferred over and I didn't need to do anything....and I told him "Noooooooooooo!!!" and that I'd be right down.

So I don't know how wide the "IT problem" is, but it was a legit Ford response to the manager.

Same here in Wyoming...but I did see the Ford response to them that there was an IT issue preventing them from accessing my 99 order to adjust it and reset it. So they may be telling you the truth.

My salesman entered my changes and changed my priority code and sent me this to sign and return. Sweet!

Well, Ford messaged my dealer (while I was there pushing the issue) that they were having an IT issue that was stopping my dealer from changing my order. Seems it is only affecting parts of the country.

It is fixed and we can edit and change priority codes now.
