I went to my dealer last week and was told if I wanted a maverick it would be a two year wait, any one else hear this? Or are they blowing smoke. Also how long of a wait were you told?

I sat on the fence last year and regretted my brilliance. Make sure you get it in before it closes.OP, just get your order in now while you can. It ain't gonna get to you any faster if you're sitting on the fence. It'll get to you when it gets to you, hopefully.
They're probably just trying to manage expectations since, realistically, anyone that ordered this past week is looking at anywhere from a 3-12+ month wait if it gets built at all. Also that is near entirely random and largely outside of the dealer's control; a totally specced out Lariat Hybrid could be built in November while an unconstrained XLT EcoBoost might wait until August.I went to my dealer last week and was told if I wanted a maverick it would be a two year wait, any one else hear this? Technically it doesn't take the factory much longer to build one trim versus the other (having to sit for missing modules notwithstanding), but rather by virtue of less being scheduled one has lower odds of being picked earlier. Since all of the orders for this MY are basically in a one week window it'll be hard/impossible to meaningfully apply first ordered, first built. So you could order today and maybe get lucky with a build date 4 months from now.A Lariat with Lux Co-Pilot360 Assist or any Tremor and most hybrid with other constraints will have longer builds.
