I went to my dealer last week and was told if I wanted a maverick it would be a two year wait, any one else hear this? Or are they blowing smoke. Also how long of a wait were you told?

A lot of us ordered a year ago, and don't yet have vehicles. Mine is scheduled, but a lot of MY22 orders are having to be re-placed with MY23 orders. Hybrid ordering for MY23 closes TODAY and EcoBoost ordering closes TOMORROW. It's likely you'll wait up to a year if you order now.

My dealer didn't say, I didn't ask figgering this forum would supply better info but it just could be we will see those long promised flying cars utilizing some form of anti-gravity device before we see our Mavs. Anyone offering over and under on this? :ROFLMAO: :D

Sounds like another Bronco fiasco brewing, prob just start raising msrp until the demand slows to a manageable level. Selling out in less than a week is insane for a pretty plain mini truck.

I wouldn't doubt it. But a lot of dealers will tell you that, take your phone number down, and then call you 2 weeks later acting all excited saying something along the lines of, "Sir, you are extremely lucky. One just came in that a customer cancelled, when can you come in? We have 7 customers interested in it but I saved it for you!" And once you get there, it's gonna have a 20k markup.

OP, just get your order in now while you can. It ain't gonna get to you any faster if you're sitting on the fence. It'll get to you when it gets to you, hopefully.

Just ordered a Lariat with most of the options. Dealer said 3 to 6 months but qualified it with how the 2022's were taking forever. I did get an order confirmation from Ford.

Dealer is being overly optimistic or just making shit up. I'd be amazed if you get yours in 3 months, especially if it's a Hybrid.

I sat on the fence last year and regretted my brilliance. Make sure you get it in before it closes.

Same...wish I placed an order back in 2021. Might have my Maverick by now. So now I'm all-in during this September 2022 order bank period.

Ford is shortly allowing dealers to place 2023 inventory orders. So, within the rules of supply and demand, I expect we're actually going to see Mavericks on lots. Not for long probably. And not for MSRP probably. But still dealer inventory. So if you're willing to buy Mavericks the old fashioned way (here's what we have on the lot), and you're willing to pay a bit (maybe a lot) more - you don't have a two year wait.

They're probably just trying to manage expectations since, realistically, anyone that ordered this past week is looking at anywhere from a 3-12+ month wait if it gets built at all. Also that is near entirely random and largely outside of the dealer's control; a totally specced out Lariat Hybrid could be built in November while an unconstrained XLT EcoBoost might wait until August.

My dealer said they were allocated 7 hybrids. I was order #15.

Most of us won't be getting our trucks as MY2023. Unless they get more allocated next year or get more than they were allocated... They've already filled up all their allocations for MY2024... 🤣

@jakefinley A lot depends on your dealers and region allocations and your build. A Lariat with Lux Co-Pilot360 Assist or any Tremor and most hybrid with other constraints will have longer builds.
Perhaps listen to one of Johnny Care Car & Review 10 steps on ordering. As

Technically it doesn't take the factory much longer to build one trim versus the other (having to sit for missing modules notwithstanding), but rather by virtue of less being scheduled one has lower odds of being picked earlier. Since all of the orders for this MY are basically in a one week window it'll be hard/impossible to meaningfully apply first ordered, first built. So you could order today and maybe get lucky with a build date 4 months from now.
