Anybody with an Alto Blue Mav done the b-pillar vinyl wrap removal? Considering it, but I'd like to see some pics to see what it looks like before I take that step.
Thanks for the response - saw those posts. My biggest concern is the combination of 17" wheel diameter and 52mm offset. Pretty sure 18" wheels would be okay, but not sure about the 17"s.
Back in February I posted a question about wheel offset - specifically, using a 52mm offset steel wheel for winter tires when the factory wheels are 37.5mm. I've had these wheels/tires for over a year having bought them in anticipation of getting my Maverick a lot sooner than I actually did...
I believe that the stud and the nut are a single piece. It's been a while since I installed the battery tender, but my recollection is that the whole nut/stud assembly unscrews. I put a ring terminal on the tender lead and then screwed the nut/stud assembly back in.
74 here. I was a bit younger when I ordered my Mav in November 2021. That order had a VIN# and build date and was then cancelled by FORD. Finally got my Lariat Lux April 1 this year - has 2,000 miles on it. Replaced a Transit Connect to get a hybrid. Also have a 2020 Fusion hybrid. For fun, I...
This was the original recall notice from last year - remedy was drilling holes in the bottom cover under the engine and removing some of the vanes in the grill. The new recall (23S27) seems to be a follow-on to it now that they've identified the potential cause of the engine failure.
Assuming it's a MY23, the only thing the modem is used for is the 'connected' features like FORDPass. The mobile hotspot function was removed for 2023.
Mine was about six and a half weeks - but a good portion of that was waiting on a transport to take it from the RAMP ONE location in Wayne, MI to my dealer in mid-Ohio.
Just checked my VIN# (built mid-February, delivered beginning of April) - 23:30 on 5/31/2023. As of this moment, my Mav does not show up as a recall on the FORD site, FORDPASS app, or NHTSA recall website.
Can't help you on this, but good luck on getting a response. I posted a question about wheel offset over three months ago and never got a single response.
When you contact FORD, not all the reps will give you the rail car number. If one of them won't do it, call again later and get a different rep - it's kind of hit or miss, but once you get one of them to give you the number you're set. Sometimes the rep on chat will cough up the number as well...
I was able to track my Maverick on the CSX tracking system (by phone using voice inputs) from the time it left the plant in Hermosillo to when it arrived at RAMP ONE in Wayne, MI (which is where it came off the rail). The tracker wasn't always completely up to date, but I called twice a day when...
Dealer is flat out lying to you. When FORD replaced the MY22 order with the MY23 order, it was put in at priority code 99. The dealer had to review that order and change it to some priority between 10 and 19 in order for it to be considered for production by FORD. Any orders that were not...
You need a new dealer. FORD communicated the process very well to dealers on what to do to convert from MY22 to MY23. The option packages were also clearly communicated. Your dealer was supposed to contact you with info on the new MY23 order and get your approval for it. Dealer screwed up -...

I don't think you want to use any point other than the grounding lug shown in the picture below.
