Sitting in the yard, waiting for my appointment. Driving around my project car is kinda fun so I'm not making a fuss about rentals or anything.

This thread on the other hand, y'all need to relax a bit...
So give it up already! What's the project car?

$25k for 36mo@0% would put one in that ballpark.
I'm paying $535/month with nothing down for 60 months (1.9%) for a buy. A lease for 2 years with $650 down and 15k miles a year was $515/month. Leasing costs are through the roof which makes no sense since residual values are close to MSRP.

2005 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon. Fully built engine, semi built transmission (auto 5-speed). Mod list is too long to even bother, it's got everything. Running a 20g TD06SL2 turbo from Kinugawa. People hate on autos but with a shift kit from transgo, a big aftermarket cooler, and modifying some torque tables in the ecu you can make it shift extremely firm. On cooler days I spin 3 tires (open diff in the front, LSD in the back) on dry pavement on the top of first gear and chirp them into second gear. It's flowing so much air I ran out of MAF sensor on the stock airbox, so I bought an aftermarket intake with a bigger MAF tube and I ran out of sensor AGAIN. I have it detuned to a 6500rpm redline because of that. Next on the list are a single piece aluminum driveshaft, bigger front mount water to air intercooler, and an e85 sensor for flex fuel setup. Also need to get it retuned on a speed density setup to get my last 1000rpm back lol.

It's running 24 lbs of boost right now but it wants to go well above that.

No wonder you're in no hurry to get the truck back! That Sub must be a blast to drive. Not many days left to enjoy her before winter sets in. Then you'll have all winter to sort out your top end lol

My 2.0 EB AWD is nearly at 12K miles. I have noticed that I can now feel the shifts through the lower gears, which was not the case early on. Good luck and keep us posted, please.

Interesting. I'm sorry this happened to you. I just did 7000km in mine and when I was having the oil changed the mechanic found a transmission fluid leak. It was not dripping but there was fluid on the outside of the casing. I just got it back and they had to re-seal the two halves of the casing. If I had not had an oil change I would not have known there was a leak. I don't know if this is related but something to note. I wish you a speedy repair.

You are not the only one, I had my transmission replaced at 10 kilometers or 6 k miles.
I was fortunate that the dealer provided a replacement vehicle . Once I limped it to the dealership.
After listening to his sad stories about staffing and supply chain and the fact they had no code to read the second technician agreed that it was a valve body issue.( I might add I have a project car and have rebuilt the C4 ) they said parts and repair would take up to 6 weeks.
My truck was returned in 10 days, with a replacement transmission, as per Fords instructions to the dealer.
I have driven about 2 k since, with one weird exception it has been going good.
Good luck

Hopefully it's an electronic's issue. I was told at my dealership when they were trying to sell me an extended warranty, the mechanicals are good and if you have an issue it's usually electronic. 3300 miles on XLT EcoBoost and no issues yet. I baby it and hope it lasts as long as I do. Keep us posted.

I called two nearby dealers and they both said the same thing ~1 month wait, I will keep calling around but unfortunately I live in a heavily populated area so I think everyone is backed up.
I'd make sure that they have you scheduled with a tech. Or, they will just reschedule you after they have a look see...... just bring it back in a couple of weeks........ then reschedule for parts and installation. good luck

I'm thinking valve body too because it happened out of nowhere, and it also seemed to hunt for gears. My guess is solenoid busted in the valve body or one of the actual valves bound up. Clutches and torque converters don't usually fail going a steady speed at low load without the fluid being worn or low, and I have no visible oil underneath. I do have a code though, but from what I remember it seemed pretty generic.
