  1. My Maverick 'remembered' the last mode I was using. . .

I installed the device from https://www.autostopeliminator.com/ today and it seems to work exactly as advertised (and as I wanted). Not difficult to install, although the placement by Ford of the OBDII interface doesn’t make it exactly easy. This old man was able to do it. Thanks to all who...
  2. My Maverick 'remembered' the last mode I was using. . .

Thank you! I can reach the OBDII port.
  3. My Maverick 'remembered' the last mode I was using. . .

I will definitely buy the autostop eliminator if it really is easy to install--I'm too old to be crawling under dashboards. Where we live there are STOP signs at nearly every corner for miles and miles--minimum six stops in any direction just to get out of our neighborhood. Rarely any traffic...
  4. My Maverick 'remembered' the last mode I was using. . .

For almost the entire month of November--my '22 AWD Maverick's Auto-shutoff-start stayed OFF, through many, many cycles of normal use and parking overnight, etc. It showed 'OFF' on the dash display with no input from me. Yesterday morning, when I started her up, it was back on (per normal). It...
  5. Quirky anti-theft alarm

OK, Maverick owners—what am I doing wrong? About 1 time out of 10, when I park my Mav, after stopping, putting it in Park, setting the parking brake, turning off the engine and removing the key (‘22 XLT Lux EcoBoost AWD) the horn will give 2 short blasts when I open the driver’s door. Why...
  6. Full-size Spare on '22 XLT Lux AND/OR CP360 Package?

Owners of a 22 XLT 2.0 Ecoboost--Did you get a full-size spare? I was under the back of my truck yesterday for the first time since I took delivery in January of '22 and I do NOT have a full-size spare. I have the AWD, FX4, 4K Towing, XLT-Lux, and Co-Pilot 360 packages. The paperwork I have...
  7. Turbo troubles? UPDATE: I am to get my Maverick back tomorrow, Jan. 26, 2023. 4 1/2 weeks later.

I asked the service advisor to take it for a drive with me as a passenger. Two miles later he said, "Yup. Definitely something wrong." And it went from there. No problems of any kind since then.
  8. In what ways has your Maverick EXCEEDED expectations?

Yeah. I didn't expect my AWD EB 4-cylinder automatic to be quicker, zero to sixty, than my restored 1970 AMX with 4-bbl V8, 4 speed, and ram-air. But it is.
  9. Switzerland Trail in the Maverick

    Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
  10. Jeeps got ducks, Maverick's have...

Dinos. Baby Drokorex looks good with the orange XLT trim.
  11. Modern conveniences

Sure fire way to tell if the stoplight you are waiting at is just a fractional second away from turning green: Your Maverick Auto/Stop/Start turns off the engine. I wish there were a simple way to turn that off without having to remember to do it each and every time I drive. I still love my...
  12. Blue Tooth Dongle for Apple Car Play?

I have been very happy with this from Amazon for $109: Newest CarlinKit 3.0 CarPlay Wireless Adapter for Factory Wired CarPlay Cars,Wireless Apple CarPlay Dongle only fit for iOS 10 or Above,Fast Pair Convert Wired to Wireless CarPlay,OTA Upgrade There is always a short delay in connection...
  13. Buschur's Maverick off to the races, [email protected] mph 1/4 mile!

Yeah. Thanks and congratulations. I'd be more ebullient for you, but it's depressing to watch our '22 4-cylinder trucks be faster (0-60, autocross, top speed, and 1/4 mile) than my 1970 AMX with a 360cid V8, 4-bbl w/factory ram-air, dual exhaust, 4-speed, 3.54:1 positrac, sway bars & KYB shocks...
  14. Turbo troubles? UPDATE: I am to get my Maverick back tomorrow, Jan. 26, 2023. 4 1/2 weeks later.

The Maverick is home. Freshly serviced, tires rotated, ABS recall completed, new driveshaft and new front axles. I don't sense any vibration on acceleration.
  15. Turbo troubles? UPDATE: I am to get my Maverick back tomorrow, Jan. 26, 2023. 4 1/2 weeks later.

UPDATE: I got a call from the Ford dealer today. I should have my Maverick back by Friday after only one full month. It will have a new ‘driveshaft’ (which I assume means from transmission to rear diff) and two new front drive axle shafts. The service advisor said replacing the driveshaft...
  16. Turbo troubles? UPDATE: I am to get my Maverick back tomorrow, Jan. 26, 2023. 4 1/2 weeks later.

We have a lot of hilly, twisty, 4-lane roads in N. Arizona. The Tacoma adaptive cc seems to be totally incapable of differentiating between vehicles that are actually in front of you in your lane and vehicles in the adjoining lane entering a curve. The topography of the roads leads to a LOT of...
  17. Lariat Owners: Was It Worth The Extra $$?

It's the true keyless entry and push-to-start that would take me to a Lariat if I were buying today (didn't know my XLT-FX4-Lux-CP 360-AWD version wouldn't have those when I ordered--my cheap 2011 SUV had them!)
  18. Lariat Owners: Was It Worth The Extra $$?

No... Actually the REASON I didn't order a Lariat was that I wanted cloth seats. I ordered my XLT on the first day of '21 that orders were open. I did not know, at that time, that the XLT Co Pilot 360 and XLT Lux packages would not come with the adaptive cc. After driving my XLT over 13,000...
  19. Lariat Owners: Was It Worth The Extra $$?

The rental Tacoma's adaptive cc is horrible. It DOES match the speed of the big truck in the right lane that's going much slower than the limit even if I've changed into the passing lanes, with signal, several hundred yards early. Maybe it's maladjusted? And on the windy, hilly 4-lanes in...
