🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

I threw together a divider to make a "trunk" for grocery shopping using some wood I had leftover from some other projects. Still needs some paint, maybe some hooks as well.

Nicely done! Looks great! My only concern is the heavy wood may make it difficult to take out and put back in. I have a 4x6 redwood plank as a divider and it takes a bit of effort to remove.

That's why I only used 2"x6" pieces for the ends where they fit in the slots in the truck bed. The main part of the divider is 3/8" plywood...front is 8" high x 48" wide...back is 16" high by 48" wide. The dividers are some pieces of 3/4" pine that was ripped to 2 1/4" wide. It doesn't weigh all that much, and the two 2x6 blocks on the ends swivel to allow fitting into the truck bed slots.

In addition to holding the totes, including the insulated one for cold stuff, it prevents them from sliding forward. I thought the spray in bedliner would be rougher than it is.

Too rough for my poor knees which is why I put in outdoor carpeting as a temporary cushion. Looking at investing in one of the better mats later on.

I didn't order accessories while waiting on my truck to be built so over the last 2 weeks, my accessories have been slowly trickling in. Only things left to do is tint, hybrid floor liners, and maybe window deflectors.

Took a short enjoyable 150 mile trip to Ruidoso, NM. Going to add mudflaps and tailgate assist when good times permit

I really like the looks of the Lightening Style DRL!

They're great except they don't shut off with the factory Lariat DRLs. For some reason beyond my understanding, they stay lit for 15-20 minutes after exiting vehicle, and this is with me tapping into the DRL wire. My guess is that the DRLs are controlled somehow in the headlight unit and not from the ECU, so unless I want to pry open the headlight housing and monkey around in there, I got to accept it.

After observing that they aren't noticeable during the day, I decided to tap into the low beam wire, and they now only come on at night and oddly enough, they shut off with the low beams after exiting vehicle.

Attended a local car show today. Took my 97 Mazda B2300 which I put a for sale sign on and just for kicks took the Mav. Had a lot of interest in the Mav. It was a fun day.

Same interest at two car shows ,10 people approached to see my Maverick. I liked theirs and they liked mine.
