i never finance anything. Traded in a vehicle and by leaving them enough to cover the Maverick I won’t owe any sales tax. They cut me a check for the remaining equity.

I don't go off road anyway. 4k tow strictly for heavy duty cooling in the desert heat.

Seems like @2022EOW's question about why you did it is still valid.

After all, you could have traded in your other vehicle (apparently worth more than the Maverick) at the time you took possession of new one. The effect on sales tax would have been the same, and you would have had the use of the other vehicle for several months.

Sound like maybe the reason for doing it was something like "I didn't really need the other vehicle and I thought I could get a better price for it now (or I was afraid it would break down, or I didn't want to insure it for a few more months, or whatever)."

Those would be good reasons, but they don't have much to do with avoiding sales tax.

Congrats. That was my original order, but I recently removed the hard Tri Fold cover assuming that would increase my chances at getting scheduled. Order confirmed in June and still nothing.

Congrats! I ordered almost the exact same package as you on 6/17 (except in carbonized grey and with the FX4 package) and I have no build date yet. The frustrating thing is that I also ordered from Gaudin Ford...Maybe I should have gone with Ford Country in Henderson...

It's definitely a mystery why they schedule certain builds before others, even when you consider dealership allocations.

While I'm envious as heck to the few (the proud) hybrids that were scheduled for production, I'm still sad that I wasn't on the list. Can I safely surmise that I may not be getting my trucklette until maybe Christmas since I'm seeing folks with Nov build dates?
