I called my dealer today and asked if he knew the 24’ order bank was opening soon? He said yes it is Monday , did I want any changes made or keep it the same? I said I wanted my deposit back cause I’m not ordering a 24’ but if for some reason it would show up as a 23’ , I want it. He said all 23’ Maverick have been scheduled. I’m moving on!!!!
Man some of these dealers are so stupid and misinformed. Or worse liars and uninformed. No not ALL 2023s have been scheduled. They will be scheduling until Aug 3rd at least - maybe even until the middle of Aug. They will be built into the middle of Oct.
If you don't update your 2023 order to a 2024 it will be canceled. So why not do it - you may get your 2023 and dont have to take the 2024 - or sell it for 5 or 10,000 profit.
What this dealer's motivation here is beyond me - if you do nothing its cancelled he gets nothing. If you continue with the 2024 then he makes money on any 2023 built or even more if you walk away from the 2024.
No, not all 2023s have been scheduled.
He's a lazy idiot.

You really have to keep up with this "process" yourself - it's a brave new world.
Dealers are not there to help you like it was 1960.
Actually, they are an active hinderance that you have to fight against.
You should have got a conformation email from Ford soon after ordering then every 45 days an apology we don't have a clue email from them.
Then you had to make sure you were properly entered into their COPV system about a month ago.
You have to do this all yourself.
But I can understasnd not knowing, I didn't when I started this "process".
I thought I could go to the dealer and drive away with a maverick after negotiating the price down.
Texted both my internet sales advisor and the internet sales manager at the dealership I ordered mine with. Told them both it was shipped. I got crickets. They have told me exactly nothing about my mav other than that I would be paying current sticker price but that they would throw in a SIBL to make up for mid year increase. Lol

Updated list from earlier that includes all the additional Scheduled Emails

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I counted all those who posted here in this thread that got scheduled.

Here is a breakdown. Some of the entries are missing the Engine Type (Hybrid/EcoBoost). I also didn't breakout the Tremor as either only one or two were listed.

By Body Type:

No XL's were scheduled
XLT's: 39
Lariat: 26

By Engine Type:

Hybrid: 49
EcoBoost: 13
Unknown: 3

Interesting mix as Hybrids were at a 75% rate, EcoBoost at 20% rate and three unknowns 5%

Scheduled for week of:

8/28: 6
9/04: 28
9/11: 19
9/18: 12
Going to Canada but one XL got scheduled here https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...d-group-emails-now-arriving.34270/post-622008

Might be the last one of these I get to post... Good luck everybody!

Please copy & paste the bullets below & provide the following info when you announce that you received your email:

HERE is the deal and I never received my email from Ford. I was talking to my dealer about inputting a 2024 order into the order bank, when open, for me and I received an email from my local dealer (Long Lewis Ford) which stated my Ford Maverick Lariat build was scheduled August 11, 2023 and therefor they would not be inputting a 2024MY order for me. I'm now wondering WHY did Ford not send me an email to my email address that they have on file?
  • ⏰ Time email was received (include time zone!). Notified by Dealer rep July 14, 2023
  • 📅 Your scheduled build week. Was informed it would be August 11th, 2023
  • 🔢(If you have it) the serial number part of your VIN.. XX out the last 2 digits if you like None given
  • 🛻 All relevant build info (e.g., velocity blue hybrid lariat lux + all weather mats). Lariat Hybrid Carbonized Gray, Lariat Luxury package, CoPilot 360 & CoPilot 360 advantage, Sunroof, Spray in Bedliner, D-ring hooks.
  • 📍 Your region, if comfortable (e.g., southern California or even Los Angeles, CA) N. Alabama
  • 🗓 Your original order date (and whether or not you had a VIN if you were a MY22 order) Sept 16, 2022 for MY2023 Priority 13
  • 🕺 Dealer (e.g., Long McArthur Ford, Salina KS). Long Lewis Ford, Muscle Shoals, Alabama

Why didn't FMC send me an email? My dealer told me only when I requested that they enter me into the MY2024 Order bank.

The 2022s that didn't get built and were rolled over to a 2023 were mostly the last ones ordered.
Sucks to have been there the first day of ordering for 2023 and being rolled over to 2024.
I know all our 2023 orders were within a 5 day period, but jeez, I'm there the first hour of the first day and they can't build me a vehicle that year?
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. My dealer was telling me today that I probably wouldn't get my 23 to 24 built because it was an XL and they had way more orders for xl's then they had alotments. I ordered on first day last September. I thought Ford was setting the priority number on the 24 re-orders from 23? It sounds like the dealer will set my priority number to fit what they hope to sell. Seems like my dealer only cares about getting higher profit margin. They didn't say that, but it sure seemed implied. I can only hope Ford has more control over it then they do.

My saleswoman has been underwhelming. She created my 9/2022 order using the 2022 Build sheet. When I caught on (thankfully through this forum) that for 2023 360 and 360 Assist were split out, necessitating an additional option (cheap shot by Ford), she was on leave and another salesperson handled it. When I contacted her this week that I would be out of the country Monday but this is what I wanted based on the 2024 Order Guide (again, thankfully through this forum!), she then sent me back a build based on 2023. I explained no, the Lariats will all have the Lux package now, including A,B,C as standard equipment. I even attached a copy of the Order Guide.

Her, and the dealer’s, lack of communication has been astoundingly sad. If it wasn’t for the rules of forthcoming private offer, I would have changed dealers for my 2024 reorder. Sad because despite 12 dealers in our greater region, I sought this one out because of their small, family owned reputation.

I did not get an email from Ford. Contacted salesperson at dealership to schedule time to order a 24. I was told I'm scheduled. Yeah!

-Week of 9/12
-XLT Hybrid, Area 51, Sunroof, 400W inverter, manual sliding rear window, trailer hitch, Co-Pilot 360, Protective Film hood/fenders, spray in bedliner w/ bed rails discount package.
VIN - 3FTTW8E39PRA87372
Order date 9/20/22

I was undecided about what to order for 24. XL Hybrid or XLT Hybrid either way I was going to lose out on Area 51, inverter, sliding rear window and discounted spray in bedliner.
Beyond happy to get a 23. I kept the hitch and the paint protection film and I won the lottery and got scheduled.
The spray in Berliner was not discontinued

The day is coming when these dealerships will be just service centers - and sell used vehicles. We should be able to order a new vehicle online and have those vehicles delivered to our driveway - OK even the dealership. These dealerships don't help you anymore they are an active hindrance you have to fight against them to get what you want and teach them about their own products and processes. I don't get how that is. I mean what they've got like six vehicles to sell how can they not be up on everything about each vehicle? What else you got to do sell used Edges?
They've always had the reputation as being somewhat underhanded lying to get the job done exaggerating but now they've gone far beyond that to just plain incompetence and stupidity. The trouble is they won't be ended anytime soon they contribute big to politicians and that's who makes the law. Here in Michigan we especially protect the dealerships. Carvana has to maintain a brick and mortar dealership in the state to buy and sell cars. And when you buy a car from them it's done out of state even though you're in this state. Tesla is somehow exempt but all the traditional automakers demand that you buy a car from the dealership. It's like the fifedoms in Old England and Scotland passed down family to family. They have far outlived their usefulness but they're not going anywhere soon. It must have been great to go into one in the 50s or 60s and pick out your car those days are over. They are a hurdle to be worked around you get your vehicle in spite of them not because of them.

As I previously mentioned, nothing has changed in over 50 years. Honest dealers are as elusive as Bigfoot! It also seems to me, that when someone loses a job they either sell cars or real estate? Sorry, but I dont like either!

The only time I have ever heard from my sales person at the dealer is when I call. Communication is not part of what they do. I'll be very surprised if all goes well with the 23 to 24 change over. Sure wish I could change dealers. I have no faith in Ford's system. I'm sure we will see plenty of MY24's built before the left over MY22's snd 23's. No rhyme or reason.

Spoke with my salesman yesterday and found out my White Maverick Lariat Hybrid fully loaded (no black out package) is scheduled for build the first week of August. I did not expect mine to get built because my order went in November 5th 2022.

I am very happy it’s getting built because the 2024 models are going to cost more for less. (No more keypad entry and matching colour mirrors for 2024)

Lot of unknowledgeable people on this thread. There are good dealers but like every other business it is your responsibility to make sure you deal with them instead of the bad ones. Lack of knowledge on your part.

Every state has franchise laws that require car manufacturers to sell cars through franchised dealers and not directly to customers. Tesla is exempt because they never had dealers. Dealers donate a lot of money to the politicians in your states to make sure the franchise laws stay that way or are made tougher. Car manufacturers are limited on what they can tell dealers to do and how they can punish bad dealers. Ford is trying to make some changes but are being sued by dealers and getting push back by legislators. Lack of knowledge on your part.

Information that is available can be had if you don't sit on your lazy butts and you be pro-active. Before or while ordering meet the sales or general manager so you know them and they know you. Salesman have high turnovers but managers are there longer term and are the only ones that legally commit the dealership to a contract price or that get all the company information. After ordering you may not get much information because between ordering and scheduling there isn't much information. But check in with the dealership, preferably in person, once in a while so they remember you. Get worked out before the order the price, dealer add ons, and the communication process. The order for the car is between the dealer and manufacturer not you and the manufacturer. Any communication from the manufacturer is a courtesy. If this is not known by you then it is a lack of knowledge on your part.

If you aren't happy with the way the process works complain to your legislator and tell them you want change. Then be prepared for them to laugh at you.
