My yard, every springIt's winter in Michigan and Steve Trucklet needs a good wash, but I'm concerned about damage to the added exterior parts (i.e.stone deflector and mudguards) so I thought I'd ask: which car wash brand gets your vote?
That chain of car washes is exploding here in Northern California. Not touchless but ok for occasional usage.I have splash guards, hood deflector, cab spoiler, and tailgate spoiler and they have all held firm in the typical car washes. We have a duck themed wash called Quick Quack!
My mom runs car washes, she had 1 now she runs like 3. It’s explodingThat chain of car washes is exploding here in Northern California. Not touchless but ok for occasional usage.
Dawn dishsoap, been using it for 40 years, cheap and works good.HOLY MOLY…I was the first reply on this thread and I am just now realizing I missed the point of the question and it was looking for a soap and not the actual wash process. My bad @Deweyordeweynot, I blame the mid-holiday malaise.
I rarely driveway wash as I’ve never really had the set up to do so but maybe one day. I am on the hunt for a good glass cleaner though as I suspect that the wiper streaks I’m dealing with are due to a stubborn film or something stuck on the glass.
We're finally getting Sheetz in the metro Detroit area: one has already opened and others to follow in 2025.I use the touchless car wash at Sheetz gas station/convenience food place. It's $9 for the simple wash, and I've rarely seen any dirt after using it.
I wash & wax it at home twice a year and run it through Sheetz' car wash every month or two if needed.
You also probably don't have to deal with frozen tap water hoses.Garden hose and a bucket. But I don't have to deal with road salt.

Easier for me in florida. Can wash car year round. Originally from mass.Me too: but not in the winter...![]()

This is why I use the manual spray wash. I always need to pay extra attention to the mud flaps, which collect a sh*t-ton of mud that the touchless doesn't remove.... My issue with touchless washes is how much is left behind.
