Utilitarian is probably a better description. I've been driving pickup trucks since the early '70s and the Maverick is the first truck that I have been excited about in a long time.
If I want to see mundane all I have to do is look at the white Silverado double cab in the driveway.

Yes, Maverick is mundane. I went to a cookout on Sat. There was a late model Vette there. We all wanted to see the Vette, not the Maverick.

I think it's in the sweet spot. A truck that's unique thanks to its small size while not being overly flashy about it. Plus, you don't buy a $20-30K truck to stand out anyway, you buy it for the affordability and practicality. There are some flashy colors that have and are currently available such as mine (Hot Pepper Red), Cyber Orange, Cactus Grey, Area 51, Terrain, Eruption Green, etc. But overall, if you compare it next to a C8 Corvette like the comment above, of course people are gonna look at the Vette over the Maverick.
If it keeps me from being noticed by thieves and LE then mundane is good.

Nothing wrong with that. When I drive my Transit I am invisible, no one bothers me. My Grabber Orange Mustang GT attracts road ragers and all kinds of nut cases driving aggressively towards me. And I can assure you it is worse now than in 2006 when I drove it home. Social media is making people have anger issues. When I drive my 1970 VW dune buggy everyone is so friendly & I get peace signs and thumbs up and smiles everywhere go.
