I had a cart go completely down the side of a new Monte Carlo SS once. The cart was at the top of the sloped parking lot and the wind got it rolling downhill and tore the hell out of the entire right side of that car. I know how you feel and I'm sorry for you.
If you are going to order AWD anyway, another 700 bucks is not much for what you get. And as the OP said the extra cooling is worth it for me here inTexas.
I had to plug one on my truck yesterday and I could tell how thin the plies are by how easy it was to insert the plug.
It's just a lightweight tire designed to get good gas mileage and run quietly on paved roads. I wouldn't run them off road but I wouldn't call them junk either.
The only way that I know of to reset the light is with an OBDII scanner or a laptop with the proper software installed. The light "may" reset itself in 50 re-starts if no faults are detected.
I've been retired and out of the repair biz for 10 years so take this info FWIW.
As I said above I have the Rough Country and I like it so far.
The only thing that I didn't like is the cheap, flimsy drain tube that was supplied with the cover. I couldn't get it to make a bend without crimping shut so I used 1/4" fuel hose instead and it worked great.
You may have some rust on the rear brake rotors. If so, make a couple of fast stops from 50 mph or so and see if this does away with the noise. Be sure and do this in a low traffic area so you don't get hit from behind.
Check with Panda Motorworks a sponsor here. I think they sell the Rough Country tri-fold for $700 and no shipping. That's $50 less than anywhere else and less than I paid from Amazon last month. I have one and it's a nice cover.
Years ago I bought a new standard cab S10 short bed. An old guy I worked with called it a "sidewalk truck" as in something kids would play with on the sidewalk. Yeah, right. Some numbskulls just don't get it.
I'm going to make a WAG and say that there will probably be rebates or 0% interest or both on the '24s by the first of the year. Increasing production and falling sales will force this. Maybe.
Yes off the sticker price. The dealer had some "mandatory" add ons that I refused to pay for and all those were waived except for the window tint and door edge guards that had already been done. I made a counter offer and got the window tint for about fifty bucks. I guess they needed my money...
I was driving a 2017 Silverado LT Double Cab and I still have it. The Maverick Isn't as roomy or comfortable, but it handles much better and the gas mileage is great.
I've done that too. There were no salvage titles in Texas 35 years ago, at least not that the average person could tell. A salvage title was issued by the state when a total loss was was sold by the insurance company to a dealer or back to the owner. If the wreck was repaired it was inspected...
