Great Truck but..... Issue with dash quality. Many vehicles and this never happened before.

I found that the dash cover eliminated the dashboard shadow on the windshield, between the cataracts and the glaucoma I need all the help I can get. My 67 Chevy Van had a painted steel dash that I covered with vinyl, looked nice for a year or so.......

Get you a pair of Polarized sunglasses if you want to greatly reduce glare. They even have light yellow tinted Polarized glasses/clip-ons for night driving. Really helps with glare from the fn LED headlights from hell.

Summer heat is best controlled with 5% visual with 99% Infra Red blockage ceramic window tint ($90-$125?).
Would love to do the window tints... But, cataracts for me and glaucoma for wife make that a no go. We have ridden in friends vehicle with the tints and neither of us could see out very well. If we were 20 years younger, maybe a tint would work. I also like the way tinted windows look!

Yep. Helps dash glare for sure. Wife and I are also eyeball challenged, so no tints for us!

Hey, the damage is already done. Grab that can of matte spray paint and go wild

Or maybe put the dash mat back in, sprinkle some dirt in it, and grow some grass on the dash. That would be cool. You can tell your friends "I have grass on my dash". And, "Excuse me, I have to go water my dash".

PS: Not trying to troll. Just hoping to make the OP smile. You gotta try to see the funny side if you can.

Talk to Dodge Ram owners about cracked dashboards.
I owned a 2002 with similar results.

I really like my dash cover.

I checked underneath it when I saw this post. Other than lint that was stuck when I put the cover on. All is well.
Actually, I like the look of that dashpad a good bit. Truly a dashpad is really all they do on higher trim level F-150s

I really do like it a lot. It has a very neat tailored look. If anyone likes it.
I order it off Amazon.
It comes rolled up. I laid it out flat and covered it with a large flower sack type towel. I steamed ironed it flat. I did not need any double sided tape. My dash was sticky enough to hold the mat in place.
The website states it doesn't fit a Maverick. Disregard that. It fits.

I have never ever understood putting a dash cover on a brand new vehicle. But these are probably people who still prefer carpeted steps….
Dude, carpeted steps are the best! I like how wood steps look better, but carpeted steps with padding feel WAY better if you ever have any kind of mishap on the stairs (like stumbling going up, or slipping and falling on you butt coming down). Accidents happen.

I didn't think I would, but I like how that looks.

One thing I really hate is the glare from the seats on my radio screen. If the sun is hitting the passenger seat, I can barely see the screen from the glare. Anyone else have that problem? It's especially bad when I'm backing up.

It's a '23 Maverick. Did you buy it new? Have you had it detailed or cleaned by someone else?

Any chance someone (like the Dealership, a Detailer, or a child) went to clean it when you had it serviced or detailed and just didn't say anything? A child might have hid something under there that made a mess and then needed to clean it. Just spit ballin' here.

It does seem like the problem comes further down the front than a cover would though.
