I know my 23 Maverick hybrid has the tire pressure screen
But I am looking for a good digital tire pressure gauge
When one searches Amazon or any internet search one is presented with thousands of results
What do you all recommend for a tire gauge? Thank You

I have had a few from Amazon over the years. All were accurate and all are still around in my garage still.

If you want cheap and digital, this one worked for me. A bit flimsy, but you probably won't be using it daily.

If you are ok with "analog", I liked this one since it has a flexible hose and is easier to maneuver. I just realized they claim the air bleeder valve on it can be used to reduce tire pressure, which I guess makes sense and I never thought about. I always used the air bleeder to reset the reading on the indicator since it usually stays at full pressure after you remove it from the tire.

If you want super old school (but still accurate), this pencil one worked well for me. It is a 2 pack and comes with extra valve stem caps in case you ever need any. I think this is the one I have in my glovebox right now.

I get a bit of grief for using multiple gauges. I carry both a digital and analog gauge in the truck. My favorite is the Jaco digital. IMO it has the best quality head unit/chuck. It also offers the option to switch to a different chuck if needed.

I also carry the Jaco analog.

No affiliation. I have a cheaper generic digital and it matches the Jaco everytime. I use it with a Presta chuck to check bicycle tires.

So, I have been pining for a good gauge for a long time, but I bought a Mav instead. Seriously, I figured I would not need another gauge as the Mav has the TPM. So I am curious, is the TPM not adequate?

XL, Poverty edition hybrid. I get it next week.

The TPMS, the fill station at Costco, the small air compressor under my back seat... all of those things "might" be adequate - until they are closed, or broken, or I forget to bring it, etc. They all have different levels of accuracy as well.

A $4 tool is a nice failsafe and is often the quickest way to get consistent data.

What I look for in gauges is midrange accuracy. Ford recommends tire inflation of 35 psi, front and rear. Many gauge mfr calibrate gauges with an acceptable mid-range criterion. if you measuring fir 35 psi, getting a gauge with 0-150 range is not ideal. One would want a 0-60# range gauge, so that 35# readings would be mid-scale range, and may be more accurate.

i spent 40+ years in instrumentation biz, and pressure sensors accuracy is the rage. That includes gauges.

Not claimed to be great accuracy, even by your manual.
