I'm 69 years old. After years of F-150s, I aged out of them. Too high, too big, too expensive to fill and maintain. How often did I need a full sized bed? Never. Living in a fixed income now, the Maverick was the perfect option and has fit my every need. So, no, it's not just an entry level vehicle. Those of us approaching the exit ramp like it too.
I like that.
So true. I always wondered about the saying 'I'm retired, I've got plenty of time.' Not really.
I am buy light💡bulbs that have a longer life expectancy than I do. 😵

This truck is just like when the Honda Element came out. Honda's target audience was young adventurous people. The people buying them ended up being40+ that saw the value and utility of the Element.

Funny, I bought an Element and now replaced an Element with a Maverick.

P.S. I am a BOOMER.
I’m 66, semi retired. I have 19 Ranger looking to downsize. Won’t be pulling the trigger for another year at least. So I read here to see how it’s liked, issues etc. Also waiting to see Toyotas Stout. It’s supposed to be either a fall release or early next year. Only want a small pickup, they’re too versatile!

Pretty much anyone with full time employment can.
This is far from true.

Once upon a time you could translate "full-time employment" into being able to afford X. Now we have full-time employed people who live in their cars. We have people who are doubly full-time employed and not able to afford life.

To quote one of my kid's friend, "My mom has to go to her after-job job."

We should count ourselves fortunate.

I am working off a part time income now (Not taking a check from my business), and paying a mortgage, Maverick payment, Insurance, and a ton of other bills off 24-30 hours a week. My dog is even in daycare every day.

I'm generally, but I think the maverick appeals to anyone looking for a small truck that can get some home depot runs done, someone needing light towing, an affordable new car, or looking for some good gas mileage w the hybrid. So it really has a huge pool of potential buyers I think, regardless of age

I guess the part being missed here is pay, how much you get paid for the hours worked. You seem to conflate status of employment with actual compensation for that status of employment. You should be able to see how fortunate you are to be able to afford all that you listed on part-time work.

Dare I even point at the current employment market, the absolute disconnect between worker pay, productivity, and corporate profits since 1979? Probably not, this is a truck forum.

Currently, I am just doing rideshare with the Maverick. Something virtually anybody, in almost any area can do. When I close my business next year, I will seek out a full time position this time, rather than open a new business. I only have 5-7 more years left to work anyway.

Retired Female Boomer here 68. Purchased my 22 Mav (cash)used after waiting 2 years to find one. My 03 F150 finally rusted out beyond reasonable repairs. I miss her every day! My all time favorite truck was my 77 F250 purchased New. Lifted and so much fun to drive. Anyone remember Fords tag line "Grab a Mountain" With the exception that i hit my head every darn time i get in, so used to stepping up into a truck instead of down i lover her. She is a zippy, happy truck! Dont really need a truck any longer, no more horses so no hay to haul but i love driving a truck, always have always will. My family has questioned my love of trucks forever .... Dont care!

I for one am grateful and waited 2 years. Honolulu ford still ripped me off for $5000 over msrp.
